Strictly Come Dancing returned to BBC One this evening as the hosts, judges and professionals took a trip down memory lane. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman kicked off the first of four Strictly: The Best of… specials as they reminisced over previous Movie Weeks. However, some viewers switched off the BBC show as they hit out at one particular format blunder.
Throughout the show, Tess, Claudia, the judges and the professionals shared their favourite memories from Movie Week.
Several clips of dances from past series were shown including Jay McGuinness’ Pulp Fiction Jive and Ore Oduba’s American Smooth routine to Singin’ in the Rain.
However, viewers weren’t pleased to only see a snippet of the performances rather than the entire dance.
Some Strictly fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration and share they were “turning off” the programme.

One said: “Having ruined movie night with all the messing about and viewers' videos, let’s hope the BBC learn from the comments and just show the best dances in full next week #Strictly.”
“This is SO disappointing. No full dances. There is nothing enjoyable about an hour and 20 mins of clips. And you have made a weekly series of them. Sorry I am switching off this is dull #strictly #movies,” a second
