This Morning host Phillip Schofield put out a statement on Instagram announcing that he was gay back in February. The ITV veteran has been married to his wife Stephanie Lowe for 27 years and the couple share two daughters together; Ruby and Molly.
The 58-year-old has now detailed his agony of dealing with the turmoil over his sexuality, saying he almost had a "total breakdown".
Phillip opened up about two different occasions where he decided to leave This Morning because he couldn't cope.
The star had a meltdown on the way to ITV Studios and even got his driver to take him home.
A second time the presenter ran off screen to be sick.

Both incidents forced Phillip to recognise that he had to let the world know.
In a new book, he wrote: “I had to come out. If I didn’t, the secret was going to give me a total breakdown... at best.
“You’re f*****g up everything and everyone and there’s no way to stop it.”
The ITV star continued in his autobiography Life What's You Make It, that he was “emotionally, fundamentally scared” for the first time, and said his thoughts started to affect his job.
