Suburra season four could be on the cards as loyal fans have rallied behind the intense political series, which was inspired by a real-life political scandal. Season three is landing on Netflix on October 30 and viewers are excited to see Aureliano Adami (played by Alessandro Borghi), Spadino Anacleti (Giacomo Ferrara) and Amedeo Cinaglia (Filippo Nigro) return. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about a potential season four of Suburra.
Suburra: Blood on Rome first arrived on the streaming platform in 2017 and served as a prequel to the 2015 film of the same name.
Both were inspired by a novel telling the real-life story of the Mafia Capitale investigation - a scandal involving organised crime and political corruption.
Fans were thrilled to hear of the season three renewal back in April 2019, but the news was bittersweet as later in the year, Netflix announced the third season would be the last of the series.
Season three is due to air on October 30 and although fans are excited, they were sad to hear this will be the final instalment.
One fan said on Twitter: "Stop ending the series in the third season, first Anne with an E and now Suburra, and that's it!!! I have a weak heart [translation].

There has been no explanation as to why the series has been cancelled after three seasons, so perhaps there is a chance it will be revived one day.
If for some reason Netflix decides to reverse its decision, fans could expect to see season four, or even a spin-off series, in late 2021 or early 2022.
There is a chance the show will be picked up by another streaming platform if it continues to show potential, so perhaps fans should not give up hope just yet.
Although as the story is based on real events, there is only so much of the story the creators can use before it comes to a natural end.
