ONE DIRECTION have been split up for four years, but this weekend saw Liam Payne paying homage to his former bandmates, and even confessed he "struggles" without them.

One Direction brought their journey to an end in 2016, just a year after Zayn Malik had announced his exit from the band. At the time, Malik left citing “stress” and claiming he wanted to be a “normal 22-year-old”. The following year the rest of the band called it quits, kickstarting each of the former members’ solo careers at the same time.

In 2017 Liam Payne released his first single, Strip That Down, to critical acclaim.

The single has now reached over 330 million views on YouTube, becoming one of the star’s most popular songs.

However his first album, LP1, was released two years later in 2019.

This year saw Payne release an EP titled Midnight Hour on Apple Music.
