HOW TO get rid of mould and damp in a property is something many homeowners will need to know - particularly in the winter months. Property experts have shared their tips to get rid of damp in a home.

Excess water can get into the house through leaking pipes, rain seeping through the walls or from condensation.

Damp can become a more obvious issue in the winter months.

Spotting damp early could minimise the risk of it causing mould or damage, expert revealed.

Managing director of Boiler Plan Ian Henderson said: "Damp can cause a number of problems for both homeowners and tenants, so it's important to ensure you spot the signs early and get it fixed.
