Ray (played by Mark Frost), with the help of Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), has been buying up all the properties on the right-hand side of Coronation Street. This is because he wants to redevelop the area and build a skyscraper which will change the face of Weatherfield forever. This week, the residents of the cobbles will discover exactly what he’s been planning, leading up to some dramatic scenes during the ITV soap’s 60th-anniversary episodes. However, eagle-eyed viewers have noticed there are two iconic characters standing in his way when it comes to the dangerous game of monopoly he is playing.
Currently, he has managed to fleece Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) out of the deeds to the garage, he manipulated David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) to sell his home after causing a sinkhole to open up in his back garden and has struck a deal with Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) to buy Number 13.
Monday night’s episode will see Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) sign over the deeds of her house to an agent, not realising they are working with Ray.
The villain has also got Gary Windass (Mikey North) onside; the cobbles resident who owns the Underworld Factory and antique outlet.
Having made several empty promises to the dodgy businessman, the development hopeful is ready and raring to go with the building work.Insurance Loans Mortgage Attorney Credit Lawyer
Unfortunately and despite his best efforts, there are still two properties he needs to complete the set, meaning the scheme is ultimately flawed as the owners of said establishments won't give up without a fight.
