Noel Edmonds has been in the limelight since 1969 when he made his debut on BBC Radio 1. Since then he has gone on to develop a robust on-screen presenting career.

Tonight, he returns to screens on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away on ITV.
Edmunds is known for presenting light entertainment television programmes in the UK, including Top of the Pops, Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Deal or No Deal.

However, it was in 1969 he got his big break on BBC Radio 1 where he began recording trailers for broadcasts and filling in for absent DJs.
Following this, he went on to work on television presenting music show Top of the Pops between 1972 and 1978.
Doing this time he also presented a phone-in programme aimed at teenagers titled Z Shed on BBC1
From 1972 to 1976 he hosted the children's Saturday-morning programme Multi-Coloured Swap Shop appearing alongside Keith Chegwin and Maggie Philbin.
In 1981 the trio tried their hand at music under the guise of a band named Brown Sauce.
