Jonnie Irwin was tasked with a tough property search on A Place in the Sun as he picked out five very different properties for farmers Fred and Susan. The Channel 4 search didn’t get off to the best of starts but the couple were impressed by the stunning views that came with a two-bedroom townhouse. However, an exasperated Jonnie was forced to halt the search when he faced criticism for the third apartment he showed the pair.

Fred and Susan were looking for a two-bedroom holiday home with a budget of £265,000 and £10,000 wriggle room for the perfect property.
Jonnie’s search didn’t start well and he was alarmed by the unusual criticism the first property faced.
In the living space, Fred began to count the number of walls and corners occupying the space.
“This is a first for me,” Jonnie commented. “This is a whole new experience I’ve never had a man count corners before.”

Overlooking the property, Sue revealed: “The last time me and Fred were here, we sat in that restaurant [over there] and I said I’d love to live here.”
“The emotions have set in,” she added.
“You do look emotional,” Jonnie remarked. “Let’s dry those eyes and go have a look.”
Commenting on the previous property, Jonnie joked: “I fell at the first hurdle.”
“You fell flat on your face,” Fred quipped before Jonnie hit back: “Alright Fred!”
