EasyJet passengers stranded in Greece for TWO days – and you won't BELIEVE ...

Flight EZY9746 was due to depart Zante for London Gatwick on Sunday but passengers are still stuck on the Greek island.

Holidaymakers have complained of “total chaos” after a technical fault grounded the plane.

Many have taken to social media to demand information from easyJet. Due to demand in summer holiday season, there have been problems finding hotel rooms for the stranded travellers to stay in while the issue is fixed.

The original plane presented the same technical fault before passengers re-boarded on Tuesday, forcing them to wait again.

EasyJet also had to cancel a night flight which was due to replace the original plane.

George Trefgarne was booked on the original flight with his wife and two children.

He said there were only cheese sandwiches left in two airport cafes and claimed ground staff were “totally overwhelmed”.

Mr Trefgarne said: “We were among a handful who managed to get out on a Thomson flight, but only after spending nine hours at the airport with no information.
