The UK’s Passport Office has warned travellers to report the passport lost or stolen as soon as possible
It’s the one thing you do not want to lose on holiday - your passport is your all-important travel ticket.
But if the worst does happen and you find yourself without a travel document when you need it most, there is always a solution.
Whether you’ve left your passport somewhere or it’s been stolen from you, the first thing you must do is act quickly.
The UK’s Passport Office has warned travellers to report the passport lost or stolen as soon as possible.
It added: “This will reduce the risk of anyone else using your passport or your identity.
“You can report a lost or stolen passport for someone else if they can’t do it themselves.”Related articles

You can report your passport lost or stolen at https://www.gov.uk/report-a-lost-or-stolen-passport.
You can also download a ‘Lost or stolen passport notification’ form from this link.
Once completed, you’ll have to post, fax or take this form to your nearest British embassy.
If you don’t need to travel urgently, you can apply for a replacement passport from abroad.
