Coronation Street regulars are rumoured to have snubbed the idea of appearing on the next series of Dancing On Ice, over fears of injuring themselves on the rink.

It comes just weeks after the cobbles actor Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap, was taken to hospital after fracturing two ribs during training for the competition.

According to The Mirror, actress Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Stape, is thought to have been one of the stars who have snubbed the idea of appearing in the competition.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star supposedly said: “If you hear my name mentioned alongside the words Dancing on Ice you must get me to a doctor.
