Molly-Mae Hague shared the bombshell news that she had split from her Love Island fiancé Tommy Fury this week after months of speculation.

The couple, who met on the ITV2 series in 2019, went onto get engaged and welcome their daughter Bambi in 2023, quickly becoming the most successful duo to come out of the Villa.

While most couples struggle to make it off the island together, others barely survive months in the outside world, but Molly-Mae and Tommy appeared to be victorious. However, cracks in their relationship began to show when the influencer was seen on multiple occasions without her engagement ring.

Meanwhile, Tommy was seen partying with women during work trips abroad and going on holidays without his fiancée and their young daughter as Molly-Mae admitted they had not been intimate in the 11 months since Bambi's birth.

The news of their split follows a whole host of former couples who endured rocky romances, cheating scandals, feuds and eventual splits. Here, MailOnline takes a look inside the Love Island curse.

Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti

Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 29, and Davide Sanclimenti, 29, had a drama-filled time in the villa in 2022 but won the nation's hearts with their real yet rocky romance
After winning the series in 2022, the pair went on to land their own TV show, but split 18-months later when Davide was accused of cheating on his partner

Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 29, and Davide Sanclimenti, 29, had a drama filled in the villa but won the nation's hearts with their real yet rocky romance.

After winning the series in 2022, the pair went on to land their own TV show, where they travelled to their hometowns in Italy and Turkey to meet each other's families.

Ekin-Su also experienced more reality TV as she signed up for Dancing On Ice shortly after leaving the villa.

However, the actress confirmed she had - for a second time - parted ways with the Italian businessman in February this year, blaming a 'rollercoaster of ups and downs' for their separation.

Ekin-Su first split from Davide in June 2023, but they reconciled just two months later, enjoying a romantic getaway to Turkey, where Ekin-Su's parents hail from.

Their relationship was previously marred by cheating rumours when Davide was seen leaving a party with two blondes in August 2022.

Later, while filming their ITV2 show Homecomings, Ekin-Su said she saw pictures of Davide with girls on his phone.

He claims she saw images of two blonde girls in his Manchester flat wearing his clothes.

The television personality went on to claim Davide cheated on her with a girl called Harriet Wilson, with Harriet contacting Ekin-Su to tell her.

Ekin-Su said that, at another time, Davide left his laptop open and she saw sexually explicit messages between him and a girl she herself had met on New Year's Eve.

She later admitted: 'Seeing those messages broke something in me.'

The TV personality said she did not want to be embarrassed amid the cheating allegations so did her best not to react publicly - but she also wanted to protect Davide.

When she announced her split, Ekin-Su wrote in an Instagram statement: 'The last 18-months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, just like every relationship.

'Davide and I both wanted to make this work as we cared deeply for each other. Unfortunately I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways..

'Breakups are never easy. For any couple. And we hope that our privacy will be respected. I enjoyed our time together and the memories we made.

'Thank you for your continued support. It's been so lovely to have you follow our Love Island journeys together since the villa and we hope you'll continue to follow our careers as we go off in our own directions. Love always, Ekin-Su.'

Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes

After meeting on Love Island in 2017 and months of relationship setbacks, Olivia got back together with her ex Bradley Dack, but not until after a very public feud with Chris

Olivia Attwood, 33, and Chris Hughes', 31, acrimonious split stunned Love Island fans back in 2018.

After meeting on Love Island in 2017 and months of relationship setbacks, Olivia got back together with her ex Bradley Dack.

In a very public feud, Chris shared on Twitter: 'Hard to work out... So my ex has made digs at me every month since we split; I say ONE thing supporting a friend about deja vu and I’m bitter apparently.'

Seemingly accusing his ex of making digs at him during her stint on E4 show Celebs Go Dating, he went on: 'I think the comments on her tweet justifies it all. some people eyy. Anyway! Celebs go Dating on at 9pm. Tune in.'

Hitting back, Olivia wrote: 'Christina Hughes, you use my name to promote/bring press to every mind numbing thing you do. You should know by now, that I will always clap back. Now stop being bitterrrrr x...

'Also Thanks for the @CelebsGoDating shout out too, very big of you, when everyone knows you were in that office the day before me, asking for the job'.

When a fan lauded the star for her 'pettiness' she responded: 'I’m committed to my art . What can I say'. Hours before the most recent beef, Olivia responded to her ex's apparent dig at her this week, by again branding him 'bitter'.

At the time, a friend told MailOnline: 'Chris broke up with Olivia over the weekend due to a breakdown in trust in the relationship. Everybody knew that Olivia was still up to no good with her ex and the tweets proved it.

'It all got too much for Chris so he called her and ended it, it’s sad because he adored her.' Olivia dismissed his claims, with friends insisting his 'inappropriate' behaviour led to a breakdown in the relationship.

'Chris has publicly humiliated Olivia on many occasions - messaging Katie Price and lying about it, kissing a girl in the Sugar Hut and being verbally abusive at her work event, saying "f**k Rita Ora and Liam Payne, I’m Chris Hughes.” Yet, she has stood by him despite people telling her to leave him.

'There are countless incidents where he has behaved inappropriately. Olivia feels used by Chris; she’s stuck by him believing he loved her but the realisation is it was all about monetising their situation.'

Olivia dated footballer Bradley for four months prior to her appearance on Love Island, with the pair supposedly 'serious' and 'really into each other'.

She went on to marry the Blackburn Rovers midfielder in June 2023.

Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran

Georgia Steel, 26, and Toby Aromolaran, 25, confirmed they had split just one month after departing the Love Island: All Stars villa

Georgia Steel, 26, and Toby Aromolaran, 25, confirmed they had split just one month after departing the Love Island: All Stars villa.

The Love Island All Stars couple, who finished fourth place in the final this year, called time on their whirlwind romance in March.

According to The Sun, an insider said: 'It's true they have split. Toby was the one who called it a day and it came completely out of the blue for Georgia.

'She feels completely blindsided and gutted. She thought things were going really well for them, so it's been a real blow.'

Georgia's Love Island: All Stars journey was undoubtedly bumpy, when she was initially rebuffed by Toby - with whom she had previously enjoyed a fling on Love Island: The Games - before the duo hooked up and left together.

She told the EF it with Elma and Fran, both alumnae of Love Island, podcast in August: 'It didn't ever get really deep with Toby like. There's only a few boys that I've really ever been in love with and unfortunately I wasn't in love with Toby.

'So, it wasn't a horrendous breakup or anything like that. It was just, obviously, I was a bit shocked. It was so soon, like we never really had the opportunity to grow or anything.

'I don't think he's a bad guy or anything like that. I will never throw shade his way. I think he's a lovely guy. Just, we were totally, totally incompatible and I do hate to think so. But did he know that? I don't know.'

Gemma Owen, 21, and Luca Bish, 25, split three months after missing out on being crowned Love Island winners, losing only to Ekin-Su and Davide.

MailOnline exclusively revealed the couple had parted ways in November 2022, before Gemma then confirmed their split with a statement shared to her Instagram.

She said it 'wasn't an easy decision.'

A source close to the couple told MailOnline: 'Gemma and Luca have decided to part ways.

'Their relationship hasn't worked for the last few weeks, and they have come to the conclusion that it's better for them both to end things now.

'They hope to remain friends and will continue to support each other in everything they do going forward.

'Love Island was a special time in their lives but sadly their romance hasn't felt the same outside of the villa.'

Kady McDermott and Scott Thomas

They reached the finals of Love Island 2016, winning over the public after their turbulent relationship culminated in them professing their love for each other.

But Kady McDermott and Scott Thomas split in December 2017 with The Sun reporting that they 'couldn't stop arguing'.

A source told the publication: 'Scott and Kady have split again. Their relationship was really fiery and they couldn’t stop arguing - they just weren’t getting on at all.

'They’re both really sad to split and obviously the timing makes it worse with it being the run-up to Christmas.'

A spokesperson for Scott confirmed the pair 'are no longer together' to MailOnline.

The claims came after the paper reported that Scott allegedly assaulted Kady in a drunken tiff after waking her up in the middle of the night.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: 'Shortly after 4:35AM on Saturday 24 June 2017, police were called to reports of a domestic incident at an address in Heald Green, Stockport.

'Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of assault. He was later released without charge and no further action will be taken.'

A source added to the paper: 'Kady was furious when Scott came into the house drunk. They had a huge row and it got out of hand with some pushing and shoving.

'Kady called the police and Scott spent the rest of the night in a cell. It was blown out of proportion and they were both really embarrassed the next day.'

Yet, Kady appeared to contradict reports by tweeting for the first time about Scott in months on the site.

She wrote to fans: 'Me and Scott are happy in our own little private bubble,' which her beau soon re-tweeted.

The pair had fuelled split rumours all summer - with neither posting about each other on social media, and sharing a number of passive aggressive messages.

Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson

Megan Barton-Hanson split from Wes Anderson in 2019 after him meeting on the reality show in 2018, and originally said the split was due to them being at different stages in their lives.

But, in 2020, Megan lifted the lid on the real reason behind the break up - claiming Wes was very focused on making money.

Wes became a millionaire at just 21 following a series of TV appearances and canny investments with his earnings.

Speaking on the Independent's Millennial Love podcast, Megan said: 'I don't have a bad word to say about him, but that relationship broke down ultimately because of our priorities.

'So, he was very career-driven, taking every job under the sun and rightly so.

'But, because I'd already experienced having money fairly easy with the stripping, I was more dedicated and focused on the relationship, so it's super hard to get that balance just right and work together.'

Commenting on their age difference when they split, Megan told Grazia: 'It all ended very amicably.

'I really love Wes as a person, but we realised we are in very different stages of our lives and our priorities are different.

'I'm 24 and by the time I'm 30 I want to be engaged. Wes is only 20. He's living his best life.'

Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk reportedly split in April, just weeks after departing the villa.

The couple, who reached the Love Island final earlier this year, were said to have gone their separate ways after TV buffs cast doubt over their romance.

An insider told The Sunthat the two could not make it work and eventually became 'too much to manage'.

'Georgia and Anton have split. They really tried hard to make the relationship work but ultimately the distance proved to much to manage,' the publication reported.

'Anton and Georgia are sad they couldn't make things work, but they broke up on good terms and will definitely stay friends.'

Former couple Samie Elishi and Tom Clare met on Love Island's winter 2023 series but split just one month after leaving the villa.

After receiving numerous messages about their supposed split in April 2023, Sami spoke out about the break-up.

Taking to her own social media, she penned: 'Really didn't want to have to write an Instagram story on this but the comments and messages I have been getting since Tom posted his story yesterday is just not fair.

'I will be speaking about everything soon but at the moment the time isn't right (which I will also explain).

'Thank you for the kind messages, they don't go unnoticed.'

Addressing the reports, Tom had taken to social media to confirm their split but insisted they are still on 'good terms', saying he has 'nothing but love' for Samie.

The footballer did not give a reason for their split but admitted he is 'gutted' their relationship has ended.

He penned: 'Didn't think I'd be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways.

'We are still on good terms and I have nothing but love and respect for her. I'm gutted it's some to an end but I truly wish Samie the best.'

At the time, Samie had not yet publicly commented on their split, but it was reported earlier this week that they called time on their romance after wanting to focus on their careers.

Tom is now in a relationship with Molly Smith, whom he one the first-ever series of Love Island: All Stars with in February.

Faye Winter and Teddy Soares

Faye Winter and Teddy Soares , who rose to fame on the reality dating show in 2021 , announced they had split in 2023 (pictured in Love Island in 2021)

Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, who rose to fame on the reality dating show in 2021, announced they had split in 2023.

In March, furious fans suspected Teddy 'messaged another woman' behind Faye's back after he made a shock admission.

Speaking during his podcast, Teddy Talks, the TV personality raised eyebrows when discussing a 'former relationship' - although he didn't specify who he was with.

In a discussion about boundaries, Teddy and his brother Sidney discussed how couples should make each other aware of their limits and rules in a relationship.

He recalled: 'I remember, once upon a time, I messaged someone whilst I was in a relationship. And to me, this person was just an acquaintance.'

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline earlier this year, Faye admitted she had to 'block out a lot of noise to get through the darkness' - and also credited her dogs for 'giving her a reason to get out of bed on her lowest days'.

Faye, who is a passionate campaign star for Guide Dogs UK, revealed her life completely flipped upside down after announcing her 'heartbreaking and difficult' separation in February 2023 with Teddy, after a year-and-a-half of dating.

She said: 'Last year I had the option to do other bits [reality TV], but I I said it wasn't the right time for me. I always think timing is so It is so important.

'I needed to concentrate last year on myself. My well-being, my health and so I prioritised that, and it was the best decision I've ever made.

'I'll never look back and regret putting myself first, that's something that I'm very proud of do. I could have gained more followers, but it just doesn't bother me to do that or to be that side of things.'

She added: 'I lost a lot of weight. I was in a really bad, awful place. We've all been there, but for me, I really had to block out the noise or I could have gone a different way.

'I didn't wanna post [on social media]. I didn't really want people to know what was going on in my life. I really had to focus on me and by what makes me happy.

'I needed to take a few steps back to then take multiple steps forward. You cannot see the light sometimes through the darkness, and it feels like it's never gonna end. Time is a massive healer.'

Adam Collard and Paige Thorne

Adam Collard confirmed he and Paige Thorne were no longer together in October 2022 - just months after leaving the villa
Adam, who appeared on both season four and eight of Love Island, became official with Paige back in August 2022

Adam Collard confirmed he and Paige Thorne were no longer together in October 2022 - just months after leaving the villa.

The former Love Island star broke his silence following speculation he and the paramedic had gone their separate ways.

News of Adam and Paige's split came after a video of Adam putting his arm around a woman in McDonald's went viral - sparking allegations of cheating.

Adam told The Sun: 'We're not together. Things happen. But I mean she is a great girl.'

Paige and Adam had been plagued by rumours after a clip emerged of the personal trainer with his arm around another girl in McDonald's.

She later deleted all pictures of Adam from her Instagram amid rumours the couple are 'taking a break' after cheating allegations.

Fans noticed she appeared to not be supporting her partner on social media after she failed to like Adam's Instagram snaps as he jetted off to Bali on a fitness retreat recently.

A source told MailOnline: 'She's in a very low place at the moment.'

Adam, who appeared on both season four and eight of Love Island, became official with Paige back in August 2022 after leaving the show's villa.
