Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after months of split rumors.

The On The Floor hitmaker, 55, filed for divorce without an attorney on Tuesday, August 20 — which also marks the couple's second wedding anniversary.

Lopez — who has recently been seen wearing her wedding ring — listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024, as per legal docs seen by DailyMail.com.

The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in July 2022, insiders have revealed.

This marks Jennifer's fourth failed marriage and Ben's second. 

DailyMail.com has reached out to reps for Ben and Jennifer for comment. 

Jennifer's own friends have now suggested the actress needs to 'look inside herself' after she filed for divorce from Ben.

A source close to the star told DailyMail.com said those close to Lopez are growing tired of her chaotic love life.

'After four failed marriages, her friends feel that she should take a look inside and focus on herself instead of what others want her to be and finally figure out who she is and what she wants from her future,' the insider said.

The source told DailyMail.com that the My Love Don't Cost A Thing star isn't the only one capable of playing mind games.

Explaining Affleck's take-the-high-road approach, the insider said: 'Jennifer said she was tired of being humiliated by Ben and she waited until the two year anniversary because she wanted to sting.

'But it did not sting him. He's been done for a long time and deep down she knows this. He let her have this so that she wouldn't look like the villain.'

The pair were spotted on a number of public outings together, including their very last one on June 2, after they had already decided to go their separate ways two months earlier.

At the time, they were seen greeting each other warmly, even appearing to give each other a kiss, as they attended Affleck's 12-year-old son Samuel's basketball game in Santa Monica.

Lopez and Affleck also appeared to be in high spirits while leaving together even though, as it is now revealed, they had already secretly called it off on April 26.

The couple first sparked separation rumors when they had gone 47 days without being seen together. 

Split speculation continued as they did not spend a number of holidays over the summer together and Lopez also walked the red carpet alone at the Met Gala in May — which was also when Lopez called off her world tour 'to be with her family.' 

Since then, the pair have been spending summers on opposite coasts and did not spend their anniversary together.

In recent months, however, the pair have been spotted out together on a handful of occasions — but notably all were when Affleck's kids were present — as they had reportedly been trying to rekindle their romance. 

After being noticed without their wedding rings on several outings, they also started making it apparent that they were once again wearing their tokens of commitment. 

Lopez was even seen paying Affleck a special visit on his birthday at his rental property in Brentwood, California.

The shocking divorce filing comes after they were seen stepping out together — and even occasionally putting on PDA several times — in an effort to maintain that they were reconciling in spite of being incessantly hounded by rumors of marital strife.

However, the public was largely unaware that they had already separated in secrecy on April 26, which is listed as their official date of separation on Lopez's divorce filing.

In the weeks prior to their secret split, the pair had been putting on PDA during their outings in late March and being very affectionate while house hunting together in New York City.

After celebrating Easter together in Brooklyn, Affleck returned to sunny California to film The Accountant 2. 

In the following weeks, Lopez spend a majority of her time in New York City, but it appears that's when the cracks started showing in their marriage as they would not be pictured together for over a month.

Just days prior to their secret split in mid-April, Lopez met up with Affleck's best friend and business partner Matt Damon and his wife. 

In the following weeks, Affleck skipped out on a number of his wife's gigs in May including the premiere of her Netflix movie Atlas as well as her major role as a co-chair at the Met Gala. 

After sparking speculation of turmoil in their marriage and spending 47 days apart, they seemingly started to make a show of unity and going on public outings together. 

On May 16, the couple finally reunited at Affleck's second child Fin's recital in Los Angeles; and in the following days, they were seen together again at another family event, during which Affleck revealed he still had her saved in his phone as 'Jennifer Affleck' alongside a sexy contact photo.

Two weeks later, they were spotted arriving at Affleck's eldest daughter Violet's graduation party together, but there was a noticeable sense of tension.

Just the following day, they put on a rare display of PDA and were spotted holding hands while attending Violet's high school graduation.

They were also spotted, seemingly in good spirits, at Affleck's son Samuel's basketball game in Santa Monica on June 2 — which was the last day they were pictured together in public. 

Even though it appeared as if they had reconciled, it appears they were maintaining a pretense as they hired a realtor to put their marital home up for sale just a week later. 

Around the same time, it was reported that Affleck had already moved out of their mansion, which they purchased together just a year ago after a two-year hunt for their 'dream home.'

Perhaps not for any reason besides to work out divvying up their assets, Lopez was seen paying Affleck a visit at his Brentwood rental home on June 15.

She even wished him a happy Father's Day on social media the following day, calling him a 'hero,' even though he opted to spend the holiday with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

Afterwards, Lopez attempted to shake off the heartache as she ventured on a solo jaunt across Europe in late June — even recreating her very PDA-filled 2021 holiday with her estranged husband and dining at the same restaurant where they shared heated kisses.

Meanwhile, he was in Los Angeles and going on outings without his wedding ring on his finger.

In early July, it was reported that Affleck had started moving out the rest of his belongings from their shared home and they began the process of selling their artwork in the $60 million mansion.

In the following weeks, the couple spent the majority of their summer and even Fourth of July on separate coasts with Affleck in Los Angeles and Lopez in the Hamptons.

As they spent miles apart, both literally and figuratively, it was reported that their kids were working behind the scenes to try to get them back together ahead of Lopez's 55th birthday. 

However, their efforts would seemingly prove futile in the end as Lopez made a bold statement by replacing her 'Ben' necklace with her own name during one of her Hamptons outings to the gym in July.

During that excursion on July 19, however, she still kept her wedding ring on, and it was reported that the pair were secretly working on reconciling their romance.

It was reported that the pair were writing love letters, ones they intended to keep private this time, as that was how their romance began initially.

However, it was then when it seemingly fell apart again when Affleck 'humiliated' Lopez on her birthday by not only skipping out on her lavish celebration in the Hamptons but also choosing that day to sign the deed to his bachelor pad.

Afterwards, sources revealed that they had finalized their divorce papers but Affleck was putting it off on filing. 

In the following weeks, the Jenny from the Block singer continued to wear her wedding ring — even once moving it to her other hand and removing the wedding band but still wearing it— and was seemingly not giving up hope completely.

After her birthday on July 24, they had not been seen together in public for 52 days; and August 2 marked two sad months of the pair not having been pictured together.

After it was reported that the pair had stopped talking to each other on August 5, the pair seemingly tried to remedy that.

On August 12, Lopez went shopping with Affleck's son Samuel and was reportedly a surprise visitor as she went inside while dropping him off.

Three days later, she quietly visited Affleck's rental home for a brief appearance at his intimate birthday party — which also included Garner and their three kids. 

However, she spent the rest of the night with her girlfriends at a Bruno Mars concert.

And less than a week later, she made their split official as she finally filed for divorce by herself, without an attorney — while Affleck was traveling back to Los Angeles with Garner after moving their daughter Violet into college. 

After Ben and his ex-wife Jennifer dropped off their daughter at college, the former couple's child Fin appeared to confirm that their sibling Violet was attending Yale University, after they were spotted wearing a sweatshirt from the famous institution.

Following news that the couple had officially filed for divorce, fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts.

Posts to X, formerly known as Twitter, included: ''Filling for divorce on your wedding anniversary is crazy; It lasted longer than I thought. Is she already engaged to someone else?' 

'I am wondering if she is the problem, 4 divorces + others big names breakups,' another fan tweeted, referring to Jlo's long list of A-list lovers. 

Another posted, 'Maybe she should just take a little bit of time and focus on herself.'

Yet another shared, 'Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are getting a divorce. I bet Ben is so happy that he can now be miserable in peace, meanwhile JLo will have a new love interest by Labor Day. She cannot be a single woman for long.'

On the day that Jennifer and Ben's marriage ended, the actress was spotted leaving The Whitman, a luxury boutique condominium that overlooks Manhattan - while on a solo trip to her native NYC.

Without a prenup in place, Jennifer and Ben's individual earnings from the last two years — whether it be from film projects or major brand deals — are community property.

One major asset the estranged couple will need to agree on is a $60.85 million home in Beverly Hills, California that they purchased last year. 

The former couple listed the home - which has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms - in June for $65 million, then relisted it after making recent renovations for $68 million. 

The home in the tony Southern California neighborhood arrived last month of the market after further work was done on the abode, which took Lopez and Affleck two years to pick out. 

The mansion spans 38,000 square-feet, and state tax law might play a part in the increased price tag, as California taxes homes sold for a minimum of $10 million with a 5.5 percent charge, TMZ reported last month.

The listing on the abode had been held by The Agency, a real estate firm owned by Bravo personality Mauricio Umansky. 

Affleck moved out of the Beverly Hills home and has since plunked down $20.5 million on a mansion in the Pacific Palisades, California.

Both entertainers have worked steadily in the two years they have been wed: Affleck's projects in that timespan include the 2023 movies Air (which he also directed) and Hypnotic, according to iMDb. 

Affleck also made appearances in 2023's The Flash and 2024's Jennifer Lopez in This Is Me... Now. He has finished shooting the The Accountant 2, in which he reprises the role of Christian Wolff from the 2016 motion picture.

Other acting projects he has in the works include a film called Witness for the Prosecution, which is in development; and a film titled RIP, which is in the pre-production phase.

Affleck has a number of professional endeavors he's involved in as a producer, including projects such as the aforementioned The Accountant 2 and Witness for the Prosecution. He is listed as an executive producer on a TV movie called Thirst, a sports drama titled Flash Before the Bang and a Hugh Jackman movie titled Apostle Paul.

Other projects he is listed as a producer on include a film called Keeper of the Lost Cities, which he is slated to direct and star; and the film Animals, which he is slated to direct, which stars his longtime friend Matt Damon.

Two projects clearly complicated by Tuesday's news are joint ventures he is involved in with Lopez: a musical adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman and Unstoppable, both of which she stars in.

Jennifer — who has a reported $400million net worth — has put out four films since marrying Ben, including her $20million self-funded project This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, which documents the couple's rekindled romance.

She launched her Delola cocktail line in 2023 and she was set to embark on a world tour in support of her latest album This Is Me... Now this year but it was canceled weeks before kick off so she could 'focus' on family.

Oscar-winner Ben — who has a reported net worth of $150million — has starred in the films Air (2023) and Hypnotic (2023). He also recently wrapped production of a sequel to 2016's The Accountant.pre

To further complicate things, Jennifer and Ben worked on the upcoming film, Unstoppable. While Affleck is producing the project alongside Matt Damon, Lopez is among the film's stars.

In court docs, Lopez said she was waiving spousal support and requested the court not give Affleck any either, according to the outlet. 

It's claimed that Jennifer's divorce filing comes amid her and Ben's unresolved battle over money.

Last month, The Blast reported Lopez had been 'gearing up for a messy divorce' and that she was aiming at acquiring half of the $150 million Affleck owns.

Lopez had paid many expenses during the two-year marriage, insiders told Radar Online in July, noting that Affleck had 'grumbled about spending money.'

Sources told Radar Online that amid the parting, Lopez felt that Affleck had 'mooched' off of her wealth, and was subsequently 'demanding a full inventory of what she spent versus what he spent and wants all the money back she "invested."

'She isn't the one who gave up on their marriage and she's feeling seriously burned and is out for blood.'

The insider noted that Lopez's pursuit of financial recompense was in direct response to Affleck's conduct amid the end of the relationship.

'If he had stayed in the marriage like a good boy, she wouldn't have minded,' the source said. 'But he abandoned her and ultimately, Jennifer always gets payback and now she's ready to play hardball.'

According to TMZ insiders, the exes have been embroiled in tense settlement talks for months. At times, Jennifer and Ben have stopped speaking to one another entirely. 

The source noted to the outlet that 'one of the little-known secrets is Jennifer paid for much of their marital expenses and now she feels he owes her' - and is itemizing the expenses she laid out amid the relationship.

Said the source, 'Ben took so much money out of her, at least that's what she's saying ... she's adding up all those private jet bills she puts on her plastic, the hotels, and meals, clothes, coffee runs, gas.

'The high cost of living was done on her dime. She paid the lion's share for that $60 million mansion they bought, too.'

According to a piece from the entertainment website Koi Moi earlier this year, the now-estranged pair had a cumulative net worth estimated at $640 million. 

Lopez is mother to twins Emme and Maximilian, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 55; while Affleck is father to children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 52.

Affleck's demeanor was cited as a reason for the split between the stars, who had famously dated two decades earlier.

'If people could see what she has really gone through they would be easier on her,' a source told Dailymail.com last month. 'Ben is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer ... if they saw how it really was, they would not attack her.'

The source added, 'He chain smokes and cusses and seems irritated a lot of the time. Great director and actor, but not a lot of laughs with him, you know? He is a wonderful father though.'

The couple listed their $68 million Beverly Hills marital home in May — one year after purchasing it for $60million. 

After failing to sell it off market, they publicly listed the sprawling property in June.

Days after Jennifer's 55th birthday in July, Ben closed escrow on a new $20.5million bachelor pad in the Pacific Palisades.

A source recently told Us Weekly that the star's decision to purchase the abode marked the 'closure of the relationship.'

But it reportedly felt like a 'stab to the heart' to Jennifer, who is still on the hunt for a new LA home.

A source close to the star told PEOPLE that she is looking for a 'fresh start.'

Before Tuesday's divorce filing, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that documents had been 'finalized, but not yet turned in.'

The couple have spent almost the entire summer apart - with Jennifer largely on the east coast while Ben remained at home in Los Angeles.

They even spent their actual wedding anniversary, which was on July 16, in different cities. 

Ben was also notably absent from Jennifer's lavish Bridgerton-themed 55th birthday celebration in The Hamptons in late July. 

The couple have not been pictured publicly together since June 2, 2024 but Jennifer was seen leaving his $100,000-per-month Brentwood rental home last week.

She was visiting him on his 52nd birthday along with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 51, and children.

Split speculation began in late April following the release of Jennifer's Amazon Prime Video doc The Greatest Love Story Never Told in February.

The film exposed the intimate details of her relationship with Ben, including how he kept his love letters from the singer throughout his marriage to Jennifer Garner.

The Boston-born actor is notoriously private and it was rumored that Jen's love of the spotlight had become a source of tension between the pair.

Both Ben and Jen have been pictured publicly with and without their wedding rings in recent months.

A source recently told Page Six that Jennifer has been left 'humiliated' by the split and that she's 'furious' with Ben.

'He's humiliated her because she made a big deal that he's the love of her life. They just had two weddings two years ago,' they dished. 'This is some kind of a record, they're not young kids.'

The insider explained to Page Six that Lopez is also angry due to their children being involved in the split.

Lopez has formed a close bond with Affleck's three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 — and has continued to spend time with them amid the split.

Lopez has 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 55, who have also grown close to Ben in the last three years. 

'There are five kids involved in this. She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over,' the source continued.

The source went onto say that Ben was holding off filing for divorce in a bid to 'protect' Jennifer. 

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that the couple were refusing to talk in person or over the phone. And instead of enlisting the help of lawyers, they have been communicating through their respective business managers.

It was also claimed at the time that the couple had planned to hire divorce lawyers after reaching a settlement.

Jennifer and Ben's love story dates back to 2002 when they met on set of the box office bomb Gigli (2003).

'Bennifer' quickly became the Hollywood 'It couple' of the early 2000s.

But their whirlwind romance came to an end in early 2004, when she and the Armageddon star abruptly called off their engagement.

In her recent Amazon Prime Video documentary, Jennifer shed light on their tumultuous initial two-year relationship, which garnered significant public attention, placing strain on the couple.

'Ben and I broke up three days before our wedding and we crumbled under the pressure,' she revealed to the cameras.

The Jenny From The Block hitmaker included two never-before-seen photos from their August 2022 nuptials, including a photo of the kissing as fireworks went off at their wedding reception.

Though split rumors didn't reach a fever pitch until 2024, fans of the couple began speculating that Ben was 'miserable' in the relationship back in 2023.

This mostly stemmed from Ben's apparent dislike of red carpet festivities that Jennifer frequented, as well as several seemingly heated interactions that were caught on camera.

In May of 2023, fans of the couple got a surprisingly unvarnished look at the apparent tensions between them during a public outing.

The couple were out and about in Los Angeles and had an awkward moment as they got back in their car.

First, he opened Jennifer's passenger door for her in a seemingly chivalrous display.

But then the stone-faced Ben — who fans thought looked 'stressed' in the moment — let his arm fly and slammed the door shut behind his wife.

She was already safely in the car and out of the way, but the display shocked and disturbed some of JLo and Ben's fans.

It's not clear if there were tensions that day between the two, or if other factors led him to get 'stressed,' but the two didn't betray any sign of tension earlier in the day when they were seen holding hands as they walked toward the car, with Ben sporting a big grin as he carried a large iced coffee, while Jennifer sipped on a smaller hot drink.

Shortly after the outing, the couple raised eyebrows when they were seen attending the premiere of Jennifer's film The Mother in Los Angeles.

Jennifer often looked stone-faced, or even outright annoyed, as she sat next to her husband.

Although Ben hasn't said much about his apparent love of fast food, he has been open about his struggles with alcohol addiction.

During a 2018 relapse, his ex-wife Jennifer Garner provided moral support during his hour of need and drove him to a rehab facility — but first, they went through a Jack-in-the-Box drive-through, where she was seen handing him his bag of food before going on their way.

Ben was previously reported to have moved out of the $60 million home he shared with Jennifer. 

The mother-of-two was seen house hunting in Beverly Hills without Ben in May.  

'He's focusing on his work and his kids now. Ben already moved out and they'll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for,' the insider went on to say. 

'They'll never stop loving each other, but she can't control him, and he can't change her. There's no way it could have lasted.' 

It has only been about a year since Lopez and Affleck bought the $60.85 million, 46,000-square foot abode they currently own.

The home — referred to as the 'Wallingford estate' — sits on a five-acre promontory and boasts 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms.

Ben was later reported to have moved into a rental property in Los Angeles' tony Brentwood neighborhood.

It's conveniently located for the star, as it is near his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's home, so their children don't have to go far when their committed co-parents do hand offs. 

Ben and Jennifer appeared to reunite in late May for his daughter Violet's high school graduation party.

The couple arrived together with his mother Christopher Anne Boldt at the party and seemed to put on a united front.

It had previously been two weeks since they had been spotted together at an movie event supporting Ben's ex Jennifer Garner.

However, the acting couple's quick getaway and the aftermath of the party indicated that it was not a substantial reunion.

The two had melancholy expressions on their faces in photos of them snapped at the party, and they didn't display any kind of affection as they walked up to the house together while Ben carried a basket with a gift for Violet, who was later confirmed to be going to Yale in the fall.

The trio left the party together in Ben's BMW, but he drove straight to his Brentwood rental.

Shortly afterward, Jennifer ended the short-lived reunion when she was seen leaving the rental with her assistant in her Escalade, as Ben and his mother stayed behind.

Ben also didn't want his love letters to Jennifer being made public in her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told - but insiders claimed it wasn't because he had kept them a secret from his ex-wife.

Garner's fans were left outraged after Affleck, 51, revealed he clung onto his correspondence with Lopez during his 13-year marriage — and later had the letters and emails bound into a book given to the Jenny From The Block singer when they reunited in 2021.

But insiders have quashed any notion that the admission shocked Garner, insisting she is happy for Affleck and Lopez — whom she is friends with — and is also at peace in her relationship with John Miller.

'Ben would love for the outside world not to know about his love letters, but he is a romantic, and as much as he loved Jennifer, he never got over JLo,' a source told DailyMail.com.

'Ben keeps his memories, whether it is from movies he worked on or family and relationship moments, he always has what the kids call 'receipts'.'

They continued: 'No one is surprised by this at all. Jennifer is OK with it, JLo obviously loves it and everyone notices that all this was meant to be.

'Jennifer and Ben have their wonderful children and are both enjoying the relationships they have always wanted to be in.'

Another source said: 'JLo and Jennifer have a good relationship and they have become friends and to think that there is any bad feelings on Jennifer's part about Ben holding onto JLo's letters is just ridiculous.

'They have a blended family and Jennifer happily moved on a long time ago with John and the four of them have spent time together on multiple occasions.'

The insider explained that Garner was always aware of Affleck's fond feelings for Lopez. 

Prior to marrying Ben, JLo had been married three times.

She and producer, Ojani Noa, tied the knot in 1997 after the former couple first crossed paths when he was a waiter at a restaurant in Miami. 

However, after only 11 months of marriage, the pair divorced in January 1998. 

The songstress and Noa appeared to be on good terms following the split when she hired her ex to help manage a Cuban restaurant she opened in L.A., per Harper's Bazaar. 

Six months later, she fired Ojani - causing him to sue the star for breach of contract. 

He was later forbidden by a permanent injunction issued by the court from 'criticizing, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging' Lopez.

Noa was sued by Jennifer in 2006 when he pitched a book based on their brief marriage, and three years later, sent him a cease-and-desist letter to put an end to a mockumentary called How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and and Ojani Noa Story. 

After the performer tied the knot with Ben in July 2022 at a chapel in Las Vegas, Ojani shared his thoughts on her fourth marriage while talking to DailyMail.com. 

'I wish her and Ben the best, but I'm not convinced it will last,' he said at the time. 'Jen loves being in love but she's been engaged six times. Ben is husband number four.' 

'I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together for ever.'  

The personal trainer later added, 'I'm happy she has gone back to Ben but I have a feeling this won't last.' 

'I think she's someone who will be married seven or eight times. I can't see her ever settling down with one person.'

Ojani explained, 'She pushes herself to constantly go forward in her professional life, which is why she’s had a three-decade career, but she also moves on in her private life.'

Jennifer later said 'I do' to dancer, Cris Judd, in 2001 after the two met on set of her music video for Love Don't Cost A Thing. 

But the marriage was also short lived when the pair filed for divorce nine months later in July 2002.  

The following year in 2003, the divorce was officially finalized. 

In 2014, Judd opened up during a candid interview with Us Weekly about his past relationship and marriage to the On The Floor songstress. 

'You know it's very tough. Your privacy is breached. You're no longer a normal person,' he stated at the time. 

'[Our wedding] was a circus. I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain… trying to sneak in. We actually rented the airspace.'

He admitted that being in the spotlight was 'tough' but expressed, 'You kind of sign up for that, you know? You kind of have to take it and accept it and embrace it.' 

'Once you stop fighting it, it smoothes itself over. If you try to keep that privacy, it drives you nuts and that's why people break,' Cris said. 

In regards to the reason behind their split, he simply added, 'Unfortunately, it just didn't work out.'

Jennifer also previously discussed the end of her second marriage during a past interview with Vibe in 2003, per Entertainment Weekly. 'Coming out of a torrid relationship, I meet this sweet person who's so refreshing.'

'But marriage is not just about love. I thought I had learned that in my first marriage …I loved Cris, still love him, he's one of the best people.' 

The Selena actress continued, 'This wasn't an easy thing to walk away from, but we didn't have what it takes to make a marriage work.'

Lopez and Marc Anthony first crossed paths in 1998 when he was performing in the Broadway musical titled, The Capeman. 

The pair soon developed a close friendship and later tied the knot in 2004 during a private ceremony - shortly after her first engagement to Ben Affleck came to an end. 

Four years later in 2008, the former couple welcomed twins Max and Emme. However, the two split in 2011 - with the divorce being officially finalized in 2014. 

During an interview with W Magazine in 2016, per Us Weekly, Lopez reflected on her third marriage. 'When my marriage ended, it was not easy to find forgiveness.' 

'It wasn't the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment and anger.' 

The star added, 'But Marc is the father of my children, and that's never going away. So I have to work to make things right. And that is, by far, the hardest work I do.' 

'I hung in there for seven years. I knew very quickly that it wasn't the right thing,' she revealed to the outlet. 

Despite the split, the exes have still remained on good terms and also continued to work together in the entertainment industry. 

The two notably performed together at the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards and sang, Olvídame y Pega la Vuelta.' 

While talking to Extra in 2017, per People, the Rain Over Me hitmaker said, 'We've always been [in a good place] from day one, you know.' 

'We met working - 20 something years ago we met, working. She's my goombah - that's my girl - for life. If you want to get along with a woman, just get divorced.'

Jennifer went onto date New York Yankees baseball player, Alex Rodriguez, in 2017 and became engaged two years later in 2019. 

However, the two had met on previous occasions before striking up a romance, such as in 1999 when they first crossed paths and the sports star asked her for an autograph. 

And in 2005, the baseball player was seen taking a photo with Lopez and her then-husband Marc Anthony. 

Years later, they crossed paths once again before dating and Jennifer reflected on the moment to Entertainment Tonight. 

'I was having lunch somewhere, and I saw him as he passed by. Afterwards, I went outside, and, for some reason, I felt like tapping him on the shoulder.' 

She then added, 'He texted me, said, "Let's go out to dinner," and I said, "Okay." We had a nice dinner.'

In 2019, Rodriguez popped the big question, and opened up about the big milestone while on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. 'I planned it for about six months.'

'[And] the three days prior to me going down on one knee and getting engaged, I rehearsed for three days in a row. Because I wanted the sunset to be perfect.'

He added, 'One day, the sunset was at 6:27, the next day it was at 6:29, and then the third day it was raining. So I kind of [decided on] 6:29, and I said, "This is the time that I'm gonna do it." And it worked out well.'

Two years after becoming engaged, the pair announced their split in 2021 and released a statement at the time. 

'We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,' Jennifer and Alex expressed. 

'We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another's children.'

'Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have is to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.' 

While Jennifer won't be officially single for some time, insiders have revealed one high-profile star is already hoping for his chance to date her.

The chart-topping rapper Drake, 37, is pining for a chance at love with Jennifer, a source recently told In Touch. 

'Of course Drake isn’t going to hook up with her while she’s still married,' the insider clarified. 

Instead, they claimed the hitmaker would wait for the divorce process to be resolved before making his move. 

'He’d never cross that line. But once things are officially done with [Ben Affleck], he’ll be ready and waiting to show her a good time.'

Drake and JLo were briefly an item back in 2016, and he allegedly thinks the fact that the relationship didn't get very far along could be an asset in his favor. 

'Jennifer’s always been one of Drake’s biggest crushes and he says that what they shared all those years ago was incredible,' the source explained. 'He never pushed for more then, but everyone knows he would have loved to seriously date her.'

They also claimed that Jennifer still 'knows [Drake is] an option,' as the Hotline Bling rapper has 'dropped enough hints' to friends and influential people since their split.

The insider said that the Out Of Sight star isn't looking to 'turn back the clock' by getting back together with a former lover, but 'Drake may have a shot because they never got serious.'

They added that Jennifer was likely to have a swarm of eligible bachelors hoping to date her now that her separation from Ben has been made official.

'There’s no way she'll stay single for long,' they opined. 'And a fling with Drake could be really good for her.'

2001 

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez first met on the set of their film Gigli in December 2001. 

The movie, upon its eventual release two years later, won seven Razzies and was branded 'unwatchable' by some critics.

It garnered $7.2m in the box office against a reported $55m budget. Yet all was not lost, as the film brought Bennifer closer together.

SEPTEMBER 2002

While they were yet to know about their looming box office failure, Bennifer were in front of the camera once more in 2002 as they reunited to shoot the 2004 movie Jersey Girl.

The movie was where their love was cemented and the couple's romance was born.

Their name was in fact born on-set, as Jersey Girl director Kevin Smith said: 'Bennifer' is trending.

'It's a name I first gave the kids during 'Jersey Girl' pre-production, before the world found out they were dating...

2002 ONWARD   

The duo made their red carpet debut at the premiere of her movie Maid In Manhattan.

NOVEMBER 2002

Ben popped the question to Jennifer with an eye-popping 6.1-carat pink solitaire diamond from Harry Winston during a visit to see his family in Boston - leading to a delighted surprise.

She described the proposal, saying: 'It's just a blanket, a quilt of rose petals, all over the whole entire house. So many candles, and vases, bouquets.

'And my song I'm Glad was playing... I walk in and I was just like overwhelmed. I wasn't expecting it, and I was just like 'Oh my God.''

Ben then revealed his mother Christopher Anne Boldt helped him with the proposal, after which Jennifer said: 'I just started sobbing. Crying. I was like 'Oh! My God!''

She went on: 'I had cried a lot over sadness over the years. And for the first time in my life, I cried incredible purging tears of happiness...

'It was the most cleansing feeling and the most wonderful feeling I had ever had.'

Later that month, Ben appeared in Jennifer's Jenny From The Block music video including one scene - designed to look like a stealth paparazzi video - showing the actor caressing her famous derriere.

Days before their highly-publicized wedding, the couple astounded fans when they announced a postponement due to increasingly feverish media attention.

The couple confirmed their split with a simple statement.

Jennifer's representative announced: 'I am confirming the report that Jennifer Lopez has ended her engagement to Ben Affleck.

'At this difficult time, we ask that you respect her privacy.'

2004 - 2005

Later that year, Jennifer sought comfort in her longtime friend, Marc Anthony, explaining: '[I wanted to] find someone who could make me feel loved and wanted in my loneliest hour...

'Thinking back, maybe deep down I knew that this was a Band-Aid on the cut.'

Two years later, Jennifer told Huffington Post: 'I would do it all over again, I think. I really would. Even the relationship part.

2016

On making their relationship work, Jennifer detailed why things struggled for the pair.

She said: 'I think different time different thing, who knows what could've happened, but there was a genuine love there, We didn't try to have a public relationship...

'We just happened to be together at the birth of the tabloids, and it was like, 'Oh my God.' It was just a lot of pressure.'

APRIL 2021

After being proposed to in 2019, Jennifer unexpectedly called off her engagement to MLB star Alex Rodriguez in April.

'We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects,' read a statement the pair released at the time.

Shortly after, Ben was seen arriving at Jennifer's home in a white Escalade SUV that is said to belong to the Hustlers star. He was later seen being dropped off by the singer's security.

They had also reportedly enjoyed several meet-ups at the the Hotel Bel-Air around the same time.

TMZ reported that Affleck had reached out to J-Lo via email while she was in the Dominican Republic shooting her rom-com Shotgun Wedding earlier this year.

The pair are said to have continued communicating until Jennifer wrapped up filming in late April, with numerous sources stating that they were 'just friends.'

MAY 2021 

Ben whisked his former flame Jennifer away on a private jet this past weekend for a romantic getaway trip to a luxury ski resort in Montana, where the actor is understood to own a chalet.

In exclusive pictures obtained by DailyMail.com, the former couple appeared relaxed and at ease around one another as they sat side-by-side in an SUV, with the Good Will Hunting star in the driver's seat, amid rumors he's been spending time at the singer's LA mansion on multiple occasions.

In pictures of the pair arriving back to LA, both Ben and Jennifer looked dressed for comfort as they stood close together while exiting the private plane following the short trip, where they had packed a considerable amount of luggage.

Sources claimed to E! that the pair spent 'about a week' together at the club, and they 'were alone' during their stay. 

Following their getaway, Jennifer made several trips to Los Angeles to spend time with Ben, before the Academy Award-winner jetted off to Miami, Florida to spend time at Lopez's home. 

During his stay in Miami, Ben was seen hanging out on Jennifer's balcony smoking cigarettes before joining the superstar for a gym session. 

Sources told In Touch that Ben and Jen 'looked madly in love' during their gym date and 'were clearly picking up where they left off in their relationship years ago.

The insider added: 'They even shared a kiss on the gym floor and were super playful with each other between sets.' 

May 31, 2021 - Rekindled romance CONFIRMED

After weeks of speculation and sources claiming the pair had taken their friendship to a 'romantic' level, Ben and Jennifer confirmed the news for themselves during a romantic date night in West Hollywood.

During the outing, Jennifer and Ben had their arms wrapped around one another while waiting to be seated at Wolfgang Puck's new restaurant located at the swanky Pendry hotel

The 51-year-old On The Floor singer had her head nestled into the 48-year-old Academy Award-winner's neck as he held her closely with one arm. 

JUNE 2021 

Jennifer sparked rumors that she may relocate from Miami to the West Coast for Ben when she was seen touring school in the LA area for her twins Max and Emme, 13.

A source told The Sun at the time that Lopez was 'looking towards LA' and that her Miami house reminds Lopez too much of her ex and Los Angeles is perfect for a fresh start as it's convenient for her TV work and photoshoots, which more often take place on the west coast.

In the meantime, Jennifer hunkered down in her $28million mansion in LA and enjoyed several visits to Ben's Brentwood home throughout the month. He also seen leaving her Bel Air abode on several occasions.

Proving their rekindled passions, Jennifer and Ben were spotted kissing one another on June 15 as they attended JLo's sister Lynda's 50th birthday dinner in Malibu.

Also present were Max and Emme, who Ben was seen bonding with during the family gathering at Nobu restaurant.

SUMMER 2021

Further blending their families, Ben and Jennifer decided to enjoy a day out at Universal Studios Hollywood ahead of the Fourth Of July holiday.

The couple, who walked with arms wrapped around one another, were joined by Lopez's twins, as well as Affleck's nine-year-old son Samuel. 

They would then jet out of Los Angeles to celebrate the Fourth Of July in the Hamptons, along with Lopez's daughter Emme and a pal. 

On Thursday, July 15, Ben was spotted driving his girlfriend around as he helped her on her 'hunt for a mega-mansion' in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, further fueling rumors that she plans to relocate to be closer to the actor.

JANUARY - MARCH 2022 

With their rekindled relationship moving from strength to strength, Ben and Jennifer began their 'hunt for a mega-mansion' in the Los Angeles area.

They were photographed on a number of occasions checking out sprawling properties across the city.

In late March, TMZ reported that the happy couple are 'in escrow' on a massive $50M mansion with 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms in swanky Bel Air  

On March 23, Ben supported his pop star girlfriend at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she was honored with the coveted Icon Award.

He was seen sitting in the audience with Jennifer's daughter Emme, 14, and his young son Samuel, nine. 

APRIL 2022 

Following days of speculation - after she was seen with a huge sparkler on her finger - Jennifer confirmed that she was engaged to Ben for the second time in their relationship.

She confirmed the news in a newsletter shared to her official website on Friday, April 8, which included a touching video that showed her getting emotional as she gawked at her engagement ring.

Earlier in the day, just hours before the news broke, Ben and Jennifer was captured touring real estate spaces in Santa Monica. The On The Floor singer was NOT wearing her engagement ring at the time. 

JULY 16, 2022

Jennifer and Ben tied the knot in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022 which was three months after becoming engaged again and 20 years after the actor first got down on one knee. 

The Selena actress, 52, confirmed they said 'I do' on her newsletter On The JLo, where she shared details of their intimate wedding held at the Little White Wedding Chapel.

The newsletter was signed 'Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck' and included candid selfies of the newlyweds and video of the couple preparing for their special day, including one of Ben getting ready inside the chapel's bathroom and photos of J.Lo in her wedding dress. 

'We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,' she wrote in her post. 

'Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter's second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.

'We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).

'So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben's closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives. They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.

The content included a video of Ben preparing for their nuptials inside the chapel's pink bathroom.

'And this was my wedding changing area!' Ben, wearing a white suit, declared as he held the camera up to a scratched-up mirror.

Jennifer, however, had more luxurious accommodations. She wore a chic yet simple chic dress with her hair styled in waves as she got glammed up inside an elegant bathroom.

'I feel amazing, excited,' Jennifer said before doing several twirls in her dress.

The bride appeared to be wearing two different white dresses in her post - the sleeveless frock and a more traditional lace garment which flashed some cleavage. She tucked a veil into her cascading waves. 

The couple collectively known as 'Bennifer' obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada on Saturday and exchanged vows in a 'super small' ceremony. 

Jennifer will also be taking Affleck's last name. The Clark County Recorder's Office shows the pop star will be changing her name to 'Jennifer Affleck.' The marriage certificate, however, has yet to be filed. 

Marriage officiants have 10 calendar days to submit the certificate to their office for filing, according to the Clark County Clerk's Office. 

AUGUST 2022

Ben and Jennifer tied the knot for a second time in a breathtaking wedding ceremony at his $8.9 million Georgia 'plantation' mansion surrounded by family, friends and A-List celebrities in August of 2022.

The celebrity couple known as 'Bennifer,' wowed the audience with Lopez wearing a stunning white, Ralph Lauren couture gown complete with long train and veil, while Affleck looked sharp in complementary white and black tuxedo.

Photographs shot from above showed the picture-perfect A-listers embracing one another through smiles at a waterside jetty, outside their enormous mansion, and while walking along a snowy white altar set up especially for the day.

The pair's happy reunion came 20 years after they first dated and got engaged, only to call-off their wedding in fall 2003, blaming excessive media attention.

The couple was followed down the aisle after their nuptials by close friends and family, including their children from Jennifer's third husband Marc Anthony, as well as Affleck's first wife Jennifer Garner.

Garner was notable for her absence, with Affleck's brother Casey also declining to attend after saying he had prior parental commitments in Los Angeles.
