Chelsea star Noni Madueke had the last laugh with Wolves supporters as he scored a hat-trick in his side's 6-2 win at Molineux.

Madueke had angered Wolves fans prior to the game with a post on his Instagram story in which he wrote: 'Everything about this place is s***' and tagged Wolverhampton.

Although Madueke quickly deleted the post, it was seen by many fans, with the winger subsequently writing: 'Damn wrong Instagram account.. you lot are too fast'.

As a result of his actions, Madueke was booed by the Wolves fans on Sunday.

However, he responded by scoring three goals, all of which came in the second half.

Madueke's goals, scored in the 49th, 58th and 63rd minutes of the game, were all low shots from inside the area.

After the game, Madueke apologised for his social media activity.

Madueke told Premier League Productions: 'I just want to apologise to everyone that I might have offended.

'It is just a human mistake, an accident. It wasn't meant to be out on my socials like that. I'm sure Wolverhampton is a nice town and I'm sorry. In terms of the boos I expected it but it is part of the game. You have to be able to play under that sort of pressure.'
