Walmart heiress Alice Walton is now ranked the richest woman in the world and all eyes are on her to see who she will endorse in the upcoming presidential election.
Walton, 74, who is the only daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, is said to be worth $95.1 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
She sits behind her brothers - Rob and Jim - on the billionaire list and each sibling owns almost 12 percent of the retail superpower. She is also reported to have accumulated more than $15 billion from stock sales and dividends over the years.
The world's richest woman uses her wealth for philanthropic endeavors and has a record of bipartisan political donations.
Public records show Walton is a registered Republican and donated to Nikki Haley's campaign in 2023 - even after Donald Trump said he'd be running again.
But Walton supported Hillary Clinton in 2016 - and has donated parts of her eye-watering fortune to Democrats in the past.
She has not publicly said who she is supporting in the 2024 presidential matchup between Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, and did not respond to DailyMail.com's inquiries on Monday.
The heiress donated to left-leaning political action committee ActBlue and democratic politicians such as Hakeem Jefferies in 2020, according to Federal Election Commission records.
In the 2016, Walton donated a whooping $353,400 to the Hillary Victory Fund. She also donated to Clinton's 2008 campaign, but donated $10,000 to John McCain that same year, according to Forbes.
A spokesperson for Walton's office declined DailyMail.com's request for comment on the matter.
Walton turned her attentions to curating art after purchasing her first piece when she was just 10 years old.
This interest led to her spearheading the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art which opened to the public in her hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas, in 2011.
Walton, who was previously issued with a drunk driving citation that was later dropped, is said to have gifted her own art collection to form the basis of the exhibits and spent over $300million building the institution.
It now features the works from the likes of Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock and Norman Rockwell.
The museum's website describes Walton as being a philanthropist who is 'committed to increasing access to arts, improving education, enhancing health, and advancing economic opportunity for all.'
She also bred horses for more than a decade on a ranch in Texas, which she sold in 2015, having owned six championship horses over the years.
In 2017, she founded the Alice L. Walton Foundation which works to increase access to the arts, improving education, enhancing health and advancing economic opportunity for all, according to her biography.
In 2022, the holistic health institute that she founded in Bentonville the previous year was renamed the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine.
