Christine McGuinness became the latest star to be eliminated from Celebrity MasterChef on Tuesday.

The model, 35, faced stiff competition as she went up against actor Tamer Hassan, reality star Jake Quickenden, model and socialite Emma Tynn and comedian Jamie MacDonald.

And after failing to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, Christine admitted she was 'relieved' to not get through to the next round and cook again.

Giving her words of encouragement as the result was announced, John said: 'Thank you very much for all your courage, your great food, your big smile, and for being so brave.'

Speaking after her exit, Christine - who was praised for opening up against her struggles with food due to autism - said: 'I’m really, really proud of myself that I even went into a kitchen I wasn’t familiar with, that I tried to make food I’ve never made before.

'But I was well out of my comfort zone, that was too much of a stretch for me.

'I’m happy I’ve done it, but I’m relieved I don’t have to keep practicing in front of the nation.'

The first task of the episode saw Christine tasked with making meal out of white sausage, with Christine whipping up a breakfast dish featuring tomatoes, bacon and eggs.

The second challenge saw the beauty create a dish based on her children's favourite meal chicken nuggets and chips, with the star making a tiramisu for dessert.

However, the meal didn't wow John and Gregg, with her accompanying dipping sauce failing to hit the spot while her tiramisu raised eyebrows as it lacked alcohol.

It comes after Christine was praised by the Celebrity MasterChef judges after opening up about her and her children's struggles with food amid their battles with autism during Monday's show.

The model and ex-husband Paddy McGuinness, 50, share ten-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, 10, and Felicity, seven, with all of whom have been diagnosed with the developmental condition.

Meanwhile Christine learned she suffered from autism and ADHD in 2021 after spending the majority of her life confused as to why she acted differently from everyone else growing up.

During the show's first round the TV personality, alongside her fellow competitors, was tasked with whipping up a dish with one mystery ingredient.

While slaving over the stove Christine admitted: 'I know that it's going to take a lot more energy for me to try and shut out the sensory issues of the smells, the noises, the textures of the food on my hands and try not to get too overwhelmed by it all'

Autism refers to a broad range of conditions characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviours, speech and nonverbal communication.

Christine later explained to judge Gregg Wallace, 59, who's own four-year-old son Sid suffers from autism, why despite despite her sensory issues she agreed to appear on the show.

Saying: 'My children, all autistic, really really struggled with food. The only way to really over come that us by facing your fears, is so you know, touch food and smell it, taste it'.

'So even now, in my 30s I'm autistic, and I still eat a very plain basic beige diet, so for me to be able to come here and try and just be a bit more comfortable with [food]  in the most pressured place ever, in the kitchen, I really have got to do more, I want to'.

Then during the second round the hopefuls created food for a dinner party, which the Real Housewives of Cheshire star revealed that due to her condition and her 'social skills not being great' she avoided, opting instead to dine at home with her kids.

Following the show Christine said: 'I don’t cook at all for anyone other than myself and my children. We eat very basic food, everything is dry, beige, sensory safe for us. Bread, plain pasta, chicken things like that we enjoy'.

'But I don’t think many of our friends or family would like to come for a dinner party!'.

She continued: 'Walking into the MasterChef kitchen for the first time was petrifying I have never been so nervous!

'I remember thinking, when I had to memorise a dance routine for The Full Monty and learn Olympic sports on The Games, the MasterChef kitchen was scarier!'.
