Tristan Phipps opened up about his 'really hard' split from his on-off girlfriend Olivia Bentley on Wednesday's instalment of Celebs Go Dating.
The Made In Chelsea stars completely ended their romance in 2023, after a period of rekindling their relationship several times on the reality TV series.
Tristan, 27 - who has since dated Lauren Sintes and Julia Pollard on MIC - spoke to dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul C. Brunson about his failed love life.
He insisted the breakdown of his relationship with Olivia, 29, who also appeared on Celebs Go Dating in 2020, 'had nothing to do with cheating or scandals' but purely down to miscommunication.
Tristan said: 'It was really hard, we broke up, twice or three times in that period, and we'd always end up back together.
'There was never any cheating or scandals or anything. It was just, something didn't fit when it came to how we communicated our feelings to each other.'
On the Channel 4 reality series, Tristan claimed he sometimes gets the persona of a 'lothario' or 'love rat' - following his dramatic romance with his MIC co-star Lauren.
Asked by the experts how he feels about his perception, Tristan said: 'I've never cheated in my life. I
'I've never purposely strung along two women. There's never been an overlap or crossover with anyone.
'That's what affects me a lot, people's preconceived judgement of who I am.'
Olivia quit the programme in June to focus on her businesses, despite being reported she left the show due to her heartbreaking split from Tristan.
She has been on the show since series 11 back in 2016, starting off as a previous fling of Sam Thompson.
In the middle of her split from Tristan, Olivia dated his close friend David Templer but realised she wasn't ready for another relationship.
Olivia opened up about the 'real reason' she stepped away from television after hitting pause on appearing in Made In Chelsea.
In June, the TV personality said one factor played a major role in her realise it was time for a break.
Speaking with Pop Sugar, Olivia said: 'I was struggling with deciding whether to stay on the show or not. The last series was really hard and speaking honestly, I was drinking a lot more than I normally do. I was drinking unnecessarily and to mask sadness.
'I was relying on booze to give me energy, make me feel happier, give me confidence — all the wrong reasons.
'I was trying to bring the energy to be the Liv that everyone thought I was but inside, I was really unhappy, and that's why I stopped drinking.
'But I'm still close with my friends who are on the show and our friendships have stayed the same.'
Earlier this year, a source told The Sun that Olivia was tired of being at the front of all the drama on the hit reality show.
They said: 'Liv has been at the forefront of all the drama for years - she's been there the longest out of everyone.
'It's been hard-going in recent series with her relationship with Tristan breaking down and she realised she needs to take a step back for her own good.
'She's in a really great place and still loves the show so is taking a step back for now. There's some new stars joining the cast who are ready and raring to shake things up a bit.'
