Johnny Depp shocked fans this week after a new video emerged appearing to show he'd undergone major dental work.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 61, flashed a whiter than usual smile in the social media clip posted by a bartender in the Bahamas.
As he jumped behind the bar, the Oscar-nominated actor smiled broadly showing off what seemed to be a new set of veneers, a far cry from even a year ago when fans described his yellow teeth as 'rotting.'
But Depp is not the only celeb to have undergone an astonishing dental transformation.
Here, MailOnline, reveals five other famous faces you may be surprised to learn have opted for similar procedures.
Meghan Markle
As a former actress, it's no surprise that Meghan Markle has a perfect smile.
But according to dentists, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, has likely undergone a few dental procedures over the years.
London based cosmetic dentist, Dr Rhona Eskander said she suspects the mother-of-two has undergone orthodontic work and teeth whitening.
'When she was a wee little girl we can see she had a gap in her teeth. This is known as diastema,' she told her 102,000 TikTok followers.
On the right hand side we can see the gap has been closed up and her teeth look whiter.
'I don't think she's had much more done to be honest because you can tell from the shapes, the teeth are extremely natural.
Cosmetic dentist Dr Ferakh Hamid from Aesthetique Dental Care, has also previously noted the subtle change in the length of her front teeth 'could be due to cosmetic contouring'.
Speaking earlier this year, he added: 'This procedure involves carefully reshaping the teeth by trimming small amounts of enamel.'
Dr Hamid also agreed that she may have opted for professional tooth whitening treatments.
'These treatments, conducted under the supervision of a dental professional, use stronger whitening agents than those available over the counter, achieving more dramatic and lasting results,' he said.
Cristiano Ronaldo
World renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his exceptional skills on the pitch.
But he hasn't always had perfect teeth.
Dentist Dr Rocco, who owns a cosmetic dentistry clinic in Abu Dhabi noted the Portugal player had 'very bad misaligned teeth', which have been fixed by orthodontic treatment.
He also had a missing missing lateral incisor — the tooth between the front teeth and the pointy canines.
This has likely seen him have an 'implant to replace it', Dr Rocco told TikTok.
The four time Golden Boot winner has also 'gone through the process of having crowns or veneers in order to have a Hollywood smile.
Professor Green
Back in 2019, Professor Green made headlines after sharing a throwback snap of his shocking transformation before rising to fame.
The rapper, 40, posted series of clips of himself prior to his £12,000 dental implants and joked that he was 'missing his old teeth' in the captions of the videos.
Despite always rocking a cool and casual style, Pro Green — whose real name is Stephen Manderson — sported a less polished look before hitting the big time.
He had previously confessed that he didn't think a brace was a good idea because it would have affected his singing voice, so he decided to get implants instead.
He told the Mirror in 2010: 'It was excruciatingly painful, but I'm much happier. I don't feel uncomfortable about smiling. It's the most money I ever spent on anything.'
Zac Efron
Ever since he burst onto the scene in 2006, starring in High School Musical, Zac Efron has been one of showbiz's biggest heartthrobs.
And over the years, the now 36-year-old has well and truly moved on from Troy Bolton and with it, a Hollywood glow up.
US-based prosthodontist Dr Sara Hahn, told her 156,000 TikTok followers that when he was younger, 'the space in between his teeth looks like diastema'.
She added: 'You can see that his tooth shape hasn't really changed which leads me to believe he hasn't had veneers.
'He still has those rounded corners, he still has that chip.'
'By 2021, his teeth look like they've been bleached. But they don't look like they've changed shape that dramatically.'
However, London-based Dr Safa, who owns cosmetic dental surgery Serene Dental, also told TikTok that his lateral incisor, to the left of his front two teeth used to be 'slightly rotated'.
She added: 'Now, I think he's had teeth whitening for sure and probably some veneers afterwards.
'You can see that his smile is a lot more even.'
Tiffany Leighton
In June, Love Island season 11 star Tiffany Leighton blew fans away after sharing a snap from her younger years.
The Hertfordshire-born bombshell, 25, teased her dental transformation through references to the song One Call by Rich Amiri and penned the lyric: 'I said "better late than never, better late than never".'
Further referencing the tune, she then added: 'I saiiiiid' on the throwback snap and penned 'better late than never' over the more recent glam photo of herself.
Social media followers flocked in their hundreds to like the post on the platform and some of Tiffany's followers complimented her in the comments section.
In an interview with The Sun last month she confessed was so 'self conscious' of her teeth that she had had both Invisalign and composite bonding procedures in the past.
But, she added, that after her stint on the ITV2 dating show she returned to her dental cosmetic surgery to 'get [her] teeth changed'.
She said: 'I did look back on the clips and everyone's going 'too big – her teeth are too big for her mouth.
'So, like, I've got them made a little bit more natural.'
Channing Tatum
He's cemented his status as a Hollywood heartthrob.
Yet despite being in the public eye, his teeth have not always been so pearly white.
Photos show his teeth previously appear slightly misaligned.
Despite apparent teeth whitening and dental intervention, he has still chosen to retain his natural smile.
Braces or clear aligners, for example, can help align the teeth, creating a straighter smile while still maintaining the natural mouth shape.
Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic treatment which involves bleaching the teeth to make them whiter.
But dentists have previously urged whitening to be called dental lightening, not whitening, because the tooth will lighten but always from its natural tone, which tends to lean towards gray or yellow rather than white.
Johnny Depp
Depp's dental hygiene came under scrutiny last year at the May 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where he was pictured on the red carpet in promotion of his film Jeanne du Barry.
Depp was pictured smiling, attracting attention amid a number of oral imperfections, including teeth that did not match in color and appeared to have damage, with fans describing his teeth as 'rotting.'
Depp has past spoken about his dental health nearly three decades back, telling Premiere magazine in 1995 that he had 'loads of cavities' by the age of 31.
'I had a root canal done eight years ago that's unfinished. It's like a rotten little stub,' he said at the time.
'When I see people with perfect teeth, it drives me up the wall. I'd rather swallow a tick than have that!'
The report noted at the time that Depp had a penchant for smoking cigarettes and drinking merlot wine, which could impact the appearance of his teeth.
