The Academy Award-winning actress, 43, attended the glamorous occasion in the French commune wearing a stunning textured number complete with puffy sleeves.

Natalie was at the ceremony to receive the Deauville 2024 Talent Award from French acting legend Isabelle Adjani, 69, and the pair posed together with the new accolade.

The actress started her career when she was spotted by an agent at a pizza restaurant by chance.

She got her big break alongside Britney Spears when they were chosen to serve as understudies for future theatre star Laura Bell Bundy in the Off-Broadway musical Ruthless! in 1992.

Her film debut came in the form of playing a young protégée in 1994's Léon: The Professional opposite future Harry Potter star Gary Oldman.

After playing the title role of the tragic Holocaust victim in an acclaimed run of The Diary of Anne Frank on Broadway as a teenager, she was cast as Padmé Amidala in Star Wars.

Her transition into adult stardom came with roles in Closer, Black Swan and Jackie and the award served as a recognition of her longevity in Hollywood.

When it was announced that the My Blueberry Nights star had been chosen for the honour, bosses of the festival noted that her versatility was the reason behind it.

A rep said: 'All of these roles are marked by her ambivalent presence, a blend of strength and fragility '

The Black Swan star let her dark locks flow free for the evening and opted for a blushed but otherwise natural look in terms of her makeup
