It's a long way from the glitz and glamour of winning Strictly... but actress Rose Ayling-Ellis hopes this role in a scruffy old green fleece coat will earn her just as much acclaim.

Rose, 29, who has been deaf since birth, is pictured larking around in Hertfordshire on the set of ITV thriller Code of Silence.

She plays a deaf catering worker who becomes a heroine by lip-reading criminals' conversations to help to put them behind bars.

ITV's synopsis says: 'She's struggling to make ends meet, juggling two jobs, in a police canteen and a local bar, while also doing her best to support her deaf mum.
