Naked and Afraid star Sarah Danser has tragically passed away following a car crash at the age of 34.
The reality star was involved in an accident on Sunday in Kahala, Hawaii, as reported by Honolulu police and KSLA.
Police stated a man lost control of his vehicle, crashing into a parked car. Danser, a passenger, was hospitalized in critical condition and died on October 22.
Authorities indicated that speed was a factor in the crash, but drugs or alcohol were not involved.
'Magical is the way to describe her. Sarah had this positive energy about her that just really filled the environment that she was in,' her brother, Jake Danser, shared with the news station.
Sarah's father Dan Danser added, 'I actually saw how much of a difference she made in the lives of others. I think she saved my life once, diving in Indonesia.'
Her Naked and Afraid costar Melissa Lauren expressed her sorrow, stating, 'Sarah was [one] of the most adventurous souls I’ve ever met.
'She wasn’t only a fierce survivalist on Naked and Afraid (she completed XL in South Africa with me), but a breast cancer survivor who kept an inspiring and positive attitude through her treatment.'
Lauren went on to describe Sarah's love for the ocean and nature, calling her a 'modern-day pirate.'
She also highlighted how Sarah viewed the world with childlike wonder.
'Rest easy Sarah, I know you’re out there exploring somewhere,' her post concluded.
Island Divers Hawaii, where Sarah worked, shared a heartfelt tribute on their Facebook page on October 24.
'Heavy hearts as we say goodbye to a good friend and great captain. Sarah brought such great energy to everyone she came in contact with. You will be greatly missed,' their post read.
Tim Mason, a friend and fellow diver, expressed the community's heartbreak over the loss.
He recalled to the outlet how they would gather for big watch parties in support of Danser, inspired by her adventurous spirit.
Born in Castle Rock, Colorado, Danser had lived in Hawaii for about 12 years, per the outlet.
She often resided on a boat at Kewalo Basin, which allowed her the freedom to travel and explore the world she loved.
