Jesy Nelson has revealed she 'almost got a boob job' two years ago because a doctor told her she 'needed it'.

The former Little Mix singer, 33, took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to pen a long post explaining her feelings behind going under the knife and why she ultimately decided not to.

She shared a snippet from Anna and Mandi Vakili's podcast Sisters In The City, where the hosts opened up about their own experiences with cosmetic procedures.

Writing on top of the clip, Jesy candidly explained: 'I absolutely adore these two for being so real about this s***.

'I was actually going to get a boob job two years ago because a doctor once told me I needed it.'

Jesy Nelson has issued a stark warning about plastic surgery, as she revealed she 'almost got a boob job' two years ago because a doctor told her she 'needed it'

The hitmaker admitted: 'It was a very insecure stage of my life and just wanted to feel loved. But I didn't really know that about myself until I did real work on my inner self that I realised no boob job would fix that.

'Anyway what I'm trying to say is I'm so thankful that I never got them done because I know I would have regretted it.'

She went on to clarify: 'I'm not against anyone having things done if it genuinely is going to make you happy and feel better because everybody needs to live their life how they want to.

'But please please like these two are saying really think about it because these things can't be reversed and could cause you to feel worse about yourself. We are all born different for a reason and that's f****** beautiful.'

In the clip Jesy was referencing, host Mandi told listeners: 'When you look on Instagram with the lighting and the poses and the angles, it looks like I've got the perfect body in some pictures.

'But that's not true because I'm not standing like unposed, naked, in front of you for you to see the issues, do you know what I mean?'

'Someone said to me at the very beginning when we started surgery, someone said that the more surgery you get, the more surgery you get.'

She continued: 'Why is that? Because the more surgery you get, the more surgery you're going to need to fix and undo all them previous f****** surgeries.

'Oh my God if I could just turn back time. All this money on surgery and I look like s***.

Anna added: 'It's so sad guys, honestly we can't explain it to you. If there's any young girls watching this, really, really think hard before you go for surgery. Is it something you really, really, really need?'

On Tuesday, Jesy shared a cryptic post with fans after her former Little Mix bandmate Perrie Edwards reflected on the end of their friendship.

Singer Jesy quit Little Mix in Decemnber 2020, saying she found the 'constant pressure' of being in a girl group very difficult - she has since drifted apart from former bandmates Perrie, Leigh-Ann Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.

After Perrie, 31, spoke about their friendship ending on a podcast, Jesy took to her Instagram Stories and shared a cryptic post.

The Boyz hitmaker shared text reading: 'The internet is gross and so are humans' over a black background.

Speaking to Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, Perrie admitted her shattered friendship with Jesy has inspired a new song.

She said: 'I wrote a song about it - a friendship I had that I no longer have. We don't know how to talk about friendship breakups.

In September, Jesy reportedly split from her boyfriend Zion Foster after nearly two years together

'It's still as heartbreaking - when you go through all these things with someone all the highs and lows and then they're just gone.

'But these things happen. Do we try and rectify things? Or just stay away?'

In September, Jesy reportedly split from her boyfriend Zion Foster after nearly two years together.

She  called it quits with the R&B star, 24, after they both unfollowed and wiped all traced of each other from social media.

Jesy and Zion previously split last summer after Jesy struggled with their nine year age gap.

However they got back together and the pair recently collaborated on tracks together with one being unveiled in August and the others yet to be released.

A source told The Sun: 'Jesy and Zion split last month and have completely cut ties with each other. It's not the first time they have broken up but friends think it's for good this time.

'It's slightly awkward though because they had an EP ready of music they have made together and Jesy doesn't want it released now.

'Fans have already heard one of their tracks and were hoping for more, but it's looking pretty unlikely at this point.'

MailOnline has contacted Jesy's representatives for comment.
