Ruth Langsford has teased a potential return to This Morning as she touched down at Brisbane Airport on Thursday.
The former ITV host, 64, is making her I'm A Celebrity debut as a guest on the show's spin-off show Unpacked.
ITV flew Ruth in as she is close to campmates Jane Moore, 62, and also works with GK Barry, 25, on the Loose panel.
After her gruelling 23-hour flight from Heathrow Airport, Ruth appeared in great spirits in her stylish travel attire.
Ruth hosted This Morning every Friday and in school holidays alongside estranged husband Eamonn Holmes for 14 years.
In 2020 the pair were dropped from their Friday slot and replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
Ruth announced her split from the broadcaster, also 64, in June after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
And it appears Ruth is eyeing up a possible nreturn to the programme, following the news that Martin Frizell is stepping down from This Morning.
On Wednesday, it was revealed the ITV stalwart, 65, had quit after 10 years in charge to be 'around much more' for wife Fiona Phillips, 63, as she battles Alzheimer's disease.
But commenting on whether she would now return to This Morning, Ruth said: ‘Never say never.’
It comes after Philip Schofield left after an affair with a younger male colleague and his slot with Holly Willoughby has been filled by Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
When asked about the major shake-up on the show, Ruth said: ‘I haven’t been there for two years so I don’t take much notice.’
The mother-of-one also confirmed she would ‘never’ appear in the jungle.
She said: ‘I’m backing two Loose Women to win as there is Jane and Grace (GK Barry). So maybe there will be two Queens of the Jungle.’
As her trip comes ahead of her first Christmas without Eamonn, Ruth revealed she was ‘excited’ to be in Australia as she had never been there before.
Ruth can provide hosts Joel Dommett, Kemi Rodgers and Sam Thompson with a closer insight into how they are getting on in camp - after viewers watched Jane loose her temper at Barry McGuigan in Monday's episode.
Jane branded Barry and Danny Jones sexist and ageist in tense scenes after they put her on washing up duty, despite her requests to not be allocated it.
The television personality, who is flying out to support Jane, hadn't packed lightly for her trip as she arrived at the departure terminal with two suitcases and a large holdall.
Ruth joined the Loose Women panel in 1999 and became a regular anchor in 2013. Jane also joined in 1999 and became a regular panellist in 2013.
Ruth took to Instagram on Tuesday to share she was busy packing her case before flying to Oz.
A source revealed to The Sun earlier this month the opportunity to join the spin-off show had been a welcome distraction for Ruth during a challenging year following her split from Eamonn.
The insider said: 'It's been a tough year for Ruth and she's been putting her best foot forward, she's thrilled to have been asked to appear on this the spin off show and fly to Australia ahead of Christmas.
The insider added that Ruth is eager to support Jane, saying: 'She's rooting for Jane and can't wait to give her opinion on how she is getting on.
'The production team are particularly excited they have landed Ruth to join them as they think she'll be amazing and give the new format a boost.'
Ruth's involvement is expected to add star power to the revamped spin-off as she joins the production in Australia ahead of the festive season.
Eammon has since moved on after the split with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 43.
Eammon and Katie made their first appearance as a couple at The Irish Post Awards, but the former GMB presenter requested that photographers not take pictures of them together.
An on looker added: 'Katie certainly seems to be able to put a smile back on Eamonn's face. They seem genuinely besotted with each other.'
Katie, who enjoyed a romantic cruise with the TV star earlier this year, has told friends she is in for 'the long haul' with Eamonn.
She has been helping him through the split from Ruth, but her friends say she is at pains to point out that their friendship has only grown close once the marriage was over in May.
In September, the former This Morning presenter emotionally revealed he can no longer look after himself.
