The TOWIE Christmas special took a dramatic turn which led to a cast member being removed by security.
Despite the long standing show always delivering a mix of tears, arguments, and shocking revelations, the unexpected drama reportedly disrupted the festive one-off show with onlookers completely shocked.
According to The Sun, the chaos centred around newcomer Livvy Jay who was 'marched' out of the premises and sent home.
Her appearance will now be limited to scenes filmed before her sudden exit.
A source said: 'Livvy hasn't been on the show much recently but was asked to return for the Christmas special.
'She filmed scenes but midway through the final day of filming she was kicked off set - it was really dramatic and security marched her out and she went home.
'Now, she'll only be in a few scenes - the ones filmed before the incident.'
Whilst it is unknown what the issue was, a TOWIE representative told MailOnline: 'We can confirm that a cast member left set early, and did not film for the remainder of the Christmas Special.'
MailOnline has contacted Livvy Jay's representative for comment.
Livvy has said nothing on the matter, instead she post a picture of herself alongside her fellow TOWIE cast members Dani Imbert, Elma Pazar and Becks Bloomberg with the caption 'christmas special'.
The brunette looked stunning in a brown oversized blazer with brown buttons down the centre.
She put on a leggy display in the mini ensemble and paired it with leopard print heels and a brown Fendi bag which retails for over £3,000.
Livvy joined the TOWIE cast midway through the latest series alongside Becks and stirred up trouble immediately.
She was romantically linked to co-star Sammy Root, although the pair ultimately decided to remain friends.
The drama comes after it was revealed James Argent returned to TOWIE for the Christmas special.
After six years, the reality TV legend, 37, showed off his impressive weight loss as he performed a festive number in front of the cast at Holmewood Hall in Peterborough.
James joined glamorous pals Amber Turner and Courtney Green at the swanky banquet black tie dinner.
The star looked delighted as he reunited with old pals, including Dan Edgar, James 'Diags' Bennewith and Saffron Lempriere.
After his incredible performance, the entire cast jumped into his arms as they welcomed his return.
James looked incredibly dapper in a burgundy suit jacket and bow tie, teamed with a crisp white shirt.
Amber showcased her jaw-dropping physique in a cut-out burgundy dress, adorned with lace and elevated her frame with matching heels.
Courtney looked sensational as she flashed her bodysuit in a sheer plum-coloured maxi dress.
The ITV special is set to air a 90-minute episode filled with drama and twists before Christmas Day.
Dancing On Ice star Dan, who is currently rehearsing for the skating competition, joined close pal Diags.
Ella Rae Wise and Dan packed on the PDA as they joined the rest of the TOWIE cast to film at dinner.
The pair appeared in high spirits as they were spotted getting cozy and couldn't keep their hands off of each other, despite reports they have secretly split up after 'weeks of fake dating' on the show.
The couple have been dating after getting back together in the latest season, yet it has been suggested their romance is being faked for the cameras.
Also at the party was Freddie Bentley, James' girlfriend Jodie Wells, Sammy Root and Roman Hackett.
James' TOWIE comeback comes after he revealed he and girlfriend Nicoline Artursson are already planning double dates with his best pal Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan.
After their chance meeting in a supermarket in July, the couple have already moved in together, and in an interview with OK! Magazine, Nicoline shared that she's already met many of James' pals from his time on The Only Way Is Essex.
James shared that while Nicoline has met his best friend Mark, she is excited to cross paths with his wife Michelle Keegan.
He said: 'She's met Mark a couple of times now, at my gig and at the pub. So that was really nice. She hasn't met Michelle yet, but I'm sure she will.'
Nicoline added: 'I'm looking forward to meeting Michelle.'
Despite settling into their home together after just four months of dating, James revealed that there is one particularly awkward snag in their new living arrangement.
He added: 'Dan Edgar lives with me, so she sees him a lot and she's giving him motivational talks ahead of Dancing On Ice.
'Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou came around a couple of weeks ago, and we all had a takeaway at mine. And she's met Joey [Essex].'
In their first joint interview, James and Nicoline, 31, revealed that it was love at first sight for the pair after they bumped into each other outside a Spanish supermarket.
And since that fateful meeting, Nicoline moved to the UK and has now moved into Arg's Essex home.
Describing the moment they met, James revealed he thought Nicoline was out of his league but decided he had nothing to lose.
He said: 'I was walking to my gig at Elliott Wright's restaurant in Marbella.
'All of a sudden I see this woman coming towards me. I was like, 'Wow, she's beautiful.' She was just in her gym clothes, wearing no make-up. She'd actually just fed a stray cat.'
