Kane breaks his silence

The captain has taken to social media to post a message for supporters.

In it, he has admitted he is 'heartbroken' with England's final agony and admitted that they fell short of their targets in Germany.

Kane has also vowed to keep fighting to bring football home, however.

Lineker: Southgate should go

The big question, of course, is whether Gareth Southgate stays or goes.

Gary Lineker, however, believes the time is right for change.

The long journey home

There were plenty of dejected faces this morning when England's players left their hotel in Berlin and boarded their team bus.

They will shortly jump on a flight and touch back down in London.

Gareth Southgate led the way, clutching a coffee, while John Stones walked past the cameras with his hood pulled over his head.

Kyle Walker and Bukayo Saka appeared deep in thought.

It's expected they'll arrive in the UK around lunchtime.
