Love Island couple Alex and Olivia Bowen have finally showed off the results of their newly-renovated lavish pad.

The happy couple met on Love Island in 2016 and finished as runners up, with Alex proposing a year later as the pair got married in September 2018.

Alex, 32, and Olivia, 30, gave fans a look into their brand new home after taking on a renovation to build the house of their dreams.

Showing clips and pictures on their home account @thebowenhome, the duo finally moved in this month after selling their £1.3million countryside home in Essex last year.

Olivia documented the changes, showing the place being renovated almost from scratch - and a sweet nod to the Love Island villa in Mallorca where it all began for the couple

The two lovebirds - who are parents to son Abel, two - proudly displayed the final results of the swanky pad, which features an 'ocean room' for the toddler and even a sweet nod to their time on the ITV2 reality show.

Their en suite bedroom was in a classy style with his and hers white and gold sinks and marble worktops, as well as his and hers mirrors and a large glass shower.

Olivia couldn't stop gushing over their outdoor entertaining space which she hailed as a 'a little Italian haven'.

It featured cream-coloured worktops and a large outdoor oven set with rustic blue and red design on terracotta tiles which served as a rustic splashback.

The gorgeous outdoor spot looked perfect for a summer BBQ, all set under a wooden pergola to enjoy a bit of the sunshine.

The pair even made a sweet nod to their time on Love Island, as the outside kitchen looked just like the al fresco foodie area of the famous villa.

Olivia ensured to give a visible Mediterranean-style touch to their new pad, and even admitted they went all the way to Lake Como to purchase the right items for their outdoor area.

The couple were particularly fond of the result for little Abel's room, which they called the ocean room.

The space presented an ocean artwork spanning throughout one whole wall with designs of various creatures that live in ocean's waters.

Presenting the room, Olivia said: 'We are not QUITE finished in here but his room is definitely the most completed out of the whole house!

'I have made it my mission to get his as near complete as possible so he has it all ready to get acquainted with & feel as comfortable & at home as he can somewhere new!

'I have had the best time decorating his room it's brought me so much joy to get creative & watch his little face every time he's seen something new!

'We still have a few art frames to add & we may paint the window wall to add more colour but it's pretty much there!' (sic)

The kitchen was designed with cream and wooden tones boosting an elegant but minimal style, completed with wooden stools.
