Drake sensationally snubbed Conor McGregor when revealing who his favourite UFC fighter is and instead chose one of the Irishman's former rivals.
The rap icon was pressed on the issue while recording a Christmas-themed livestream alongside Adin Ross earlier this week and delivered a surprise answer.
The show, branded Drizzmas, lasted over six hours and also acted as a giveaway with lucky viewers banking thousands of pounds and mouthwatering prizes, including a dream holiday, a luxury car and a trip for two to watch Drake live in Australia.
During the broadcast, Ross also quizzed Drake, 38, on his all-time best UFC star.
'OK, I'm gonna answer this question strictly based on just somebody, who to me, is the most thorough,' Drake replied.
'You can't get more thorough than this guy. I respect people who are where you're from and nothing else can change you.
'The money, the wins, nothing. So to me, it's Nate [Diaz]. That's my favorite fighter because Nate is crazy through and through.
'Obviously, of course, I have other favourite fighters. I love Conor [McGregor] with all my heart… I'm talking about if they were rappers who would I like listening to?
That's how I'm looking at it. I'd listen to Conor and Nate.
'You can't get more… Nate is just one of those people. Nate is gonna Nate.'
However, Joe Rogan has suggested that McGregor's UFC career may be coming to an end with three years passing since Notorious' last fight.
McGregor suffered a broken leg during his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021 and was forced to withdraw from his much-anticipated comeback showdown against Michael Chandler in June after sustaining a broken toe.
He also recently appeared in court in Ireland after being accused of 'brutally raping and battering' Nikita Hand at a hotel in Dublin in 2018. McGregor was ordered to pay just over £200,000 in damages after a jury found him liable of assaulting Hand.
He vehemently denies the allegation.
'I don't know if Conor is ever gonna fight again,' Rogan said on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. I don't know the real details of [the civil assault case].
'I know his version of it, and her version of it, and what played out in the court...
'The reality is that guy's partying, and he's partying real hard, and he talked about it in the in the court case, he's talking about cocaine.'
