Conor Maynard begged social media followers for help over Christmas after ex Charlotte Chilton claimed he is yet to see their newborn daughter.
Chilton, 33, a former contestant on BBC show The Traitors, welcomed daughter Penelope in September following a one night stand with Maynard.
But she insists the singer ghosted her online after discovering she was pregnant and is yet to express any interest in the child, who is understood to have suffered 'tummy issues' over recent weeks.
Taking to Instagram in December - his first social media activity in a month - Maynard, 32, admitted he was emotionally struggling and undecided over the option to use prescribed medication.
Reaching out to followers, he wrote: 'Has anyone here ever been prescribed Diazepam, but their anxiety is so bad that they're literally too anxious to actually take it?
'Please reach out if you've ever been in this position. Can't believe I'm even posting this, but at this point, I'm not sure what else to do.'
He added: 'Sorry I haven't posted anything in over a month. This post kinda alludes to why.'
Commonly known as Valium, diazepam is a prescription only drug that is typically used to treat anxiety disorders, insomnia, seizures, and the effects of drug and alcohol withdrawal.
Chilton revealed in June that the singer, whose sister is dating The Traitors winner Harry Clarke, was the father of her unborn child. She said he ghosted her after finding out she was pregnant and has subsequently refused to acknowledge the baby.
Speaking to OK!, she said: 'He knows [I've given birth] I've not heard anything, I had real torment over whether to contact him when she was here or not.
'And I figured I don't want to speak to him, but he has a right to know. I knew if I didn't reach out people would say I hadn't bothered'.
Chilton also spoke candidly about her post natal anxiety and the fact that Penelope looks just like her father.
'There have been days where I've been in tears because I'm sitting here thinking, 'I've got a daughter that looks f**king identical to you'.
She went on to discuss whether she wanted Maynard to be part of her daughter's life, stating: 'If she wants to walk away from him, that's fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she's older, I'm not going to deny her contact if he decides he wants to see her.'
Chilton also revealed that her ex-wife Laura had been supportive after the pair initially had a war of words following her pregnancy announcement.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: 'Princess Penelope has arrived and we have been enjoying our ‘Penelope bubble’ so much, I am going to be off the radar for a little longer, whilst I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl!!
'Thank you to all that have checked in to make sure I am ok!! My heart is full.'
Appearing on Loose Women in July, Chilton claimed Maynard was 'ghosting' her and when asked whether she's in touch with him, replied: 'I'm in touch - he's not.'
Asked if she wants the singer to be a part of her child's life, she said: 'This is a tricky question. I'm always torn with what is best for her. With me and my mental health and the damage he's done to me, no.
'But I'm an adult and I have to put her first. I would like it for her at some point in her life. I don't think there's much point at this stage, but it has to be Penelope's decision.'
In a recent health, Chilton told how her daughter is 'super needy' after struggling with her health, before declaring that they are a 'little team'.
In the post, the reality star donned a bright yellow jumper as she snuggled up to her girl, who looked adorable in a pink outfit with a white lace bow in her head.
Captioning her photo, she wrote: 'Saturday cuddles with my angel!! After a few medical issues she is super needy, but she is my little warrior princess!
'I continue to be so proud of my daughter and how she has taken these issues in her stride… we are a little team.'
