Man United star Casemiro is reportedly considering a move away from the club this month as a number of Saudi Pro League sides continue to keep tabs on him.
The Brazilian has endured a difficult start to life under Ruben Amorim and was singled out by pundits after United's 2-0 defeat by Newcastle on Monday evening.
Speaking after the match, United legend Rio Ferdinand claimed that Casemiro - and midfield partner Christian Eriksen - didn't have the legs to play in Amorim's system.
Now, as questions over his future circulate, reports have claimed that the Brazilian is open to leaving this month amid interest from six Saudi sides.
According to UOL, Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Qadisiyah are all keeping tabs on the veteran midfielder.
The outlet further claim that Casemiro is open to a move to Saudi Arabia and there are no 'major obstacles' standing in the way of a deal.
Al-Nassr are the most likely candidates to secure Casemiro's signature as they look to reunite him with former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudia.
The report comes after Ferdinand took aim at the Brazilian and suggested that midfield was an area that United need to strengthen during the window.
He said: 'I think we're looking at two players in this team who came under a lot of criticism after yesterday; Casemiro and Eriksen.
'One of the key elements to this system is that it needs legs and it needs physicality. And Eriksen and Casemiro, that's probably two of the weakest parts of their games, so that doesn't help.
'But I would still argue that if they were able to train and he was able to implement his philosophies, then those two players wouldn't look so out of place.
'So I don't think it's as simple as 'Let's get two more mobile players in there and it'll all be better'. I still think we'll have the same issues'.
There are questions as to whether the Brazilian fits into Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system but discussions over Casemiro's place at United have been rife for months.
At the end of last season, Jamie Carragher urged the midfielder to move to the MLS or Saudi Arabia after a string of disappointing displays.
The former Liverpool defender hailed the Brazilian as a 'great' of the modern era, but claimed 'football has left him' and believed the former Real Madrid star should have dropped down a few levels this summer.
He said: 'I always remember something when I retired myself, there was a saying I always remember as a footballer, "leave the football before the football leaves you".
'The football has left him at this top level he needs to call it a day at this level of football and move.
'I know he's got kids on the bench but I think Casemiro, deadly serious, should know himself tonight as an experienced player that he should only have another three games left at the top level. The next two league games and the [FA] cup final.
'And he should be thinking "I need to go to the MLS or Saudi". I'm deadly serious. He's aging, the people around him they need to tell him this has to stop'.
