The wedding vows of former Brazil star Hulk have emerged after he married his ex-wife's niece.

Hulk, 38, who earned 49 caps for his country and currently plays for Atletico Mineiro, wedded Camila Angelo in a religious ceremony last Friday - five years after they tied the knot in a civil ceremony - before a second event took place in their homeland on Tuesday.

He was previously married to Camila's aunt, Iran Angelo, for 12 years between 2007 and 2019, and they had three children together; sons Ian and Tiago, and a daughter, Alice - who are cousins to his new wife.

But Hulk stunned many when he married Camila following the end of his 12-year relationship with Iran. It has now been revealed that Hulk declared that Camila is the 'love of my life' at Tuesday's ceremony, which cost $3.2m (£2.6m), according to Game, Set & Match.

As quoted by Game, Set & Match, Hulk told Camila: '2025, I realised a childhood dream which was to marry the love of my life in the Campina Grande cathedral. Five years ago, I began the life I never imagined living.

'Only God knows what we have faced and are facing to be here. Many have no idea the size of our love, but I confess that I can't even explain how I feel for you.

'When I looked at couples loving and respecting each other I thought it was all facade, that there was no such marriage, but it was only when you came into my life that God showed me that yes, that it is possible to live it in real life (Loving, being loved and growing together in the same mindset).

'I give you my heart and promise that I will walk with you hand in hand and heart tied wherever our journey takes me.

'I promise to love and care for you and I will try by all means to be worthy of your love but most of all I promise to be a true and loyal friend. I will love you eternally my love.'

Camila's own vows were even lengthier, but she insisted that marrying her aunt's ex-husband was 'not difficult at all' as 'it would be difficult to live without you'.

Not everyone is happy for the newly married couple, though, as one of Iran's sisters, Rayssa, hit out at Camila on social media earlier this week.

Rayssa wrote: 'Today is a hard day to swallow, a day that reveals how far betrayal can go when it comes from the people we least expect. If my mother were alive, I am sure she would not be able to bear such monstrosity. Seeing a granddaughter, who grew up under her roof, betray her own family in such a cruel way would be an impossible blow to overcome.

'Yes, exactly today, seven years ago, we were mourning the death of my mother. And today a macabre spectacle happened which made me understand that she really couldn't be here, because she wouldn't be able to resist such shame and monstrosity!

'This photo was even taken at Judas' wedding!'

She added: 'It is sad to realise that Judas is not only in ancient stories, sometimes he sleeps under the same roof, eats at the same table and, at the right moment, st*bs himself in the back.

'Wanting what belongs to someone else, wanting to live the life of someone who trusted you, is a reflection of an empty heart, incapable of creating its own happiness.

'In this photo, my sister was being the bridesmaid at the wedding of the traitor, manipulator, cruel woman who only thought about money. She was married and asked for an annulment, claiming... but GOD is fair and nothing goes unnoticed in his eyes.'

Reports of the relationship between Hulk and Camila emerged in December 2019, just five months after his marriage with Iran ended. It is believed Hulk told his family about his relationship with Camila at this time - including his children Ian, Tiago, and Alice.

The couple married in a civil ceremony in September 2020, when Hulk was still playing for Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.

A spokesman for the striker said in a statement at the time: 'Hulk called the parents and the brother of Camila and told them the truth.

'It was Hulk himself who made the information public because he had nothing to hide.

'His position is transparency and he wants to avoid lies and malicious comments.'

Hulk and Camila now have two children together - Zaya and Aisha.

Last Friday's ceremony took place in Hulk's hometown of Campina Grande. Hulk wore a wine-coloured suit as he walked down the aisle accompanied by his mother. Camila, meanwhile, walked down the aisle with her father and wore an embroidered dress with a veil by designer Samuel Cirnansck.

Hulk entered the church to the sound of 'Sabor de Mel' by Damares, with Camila choosing 'Que Bom Voce Chegou' by Bruna Karla. The ceremony was held at The Diocesan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception, with a sea of white roses filling the church.
