Lou Teasdale has been on the fringes of the fame game for 15 years.

In the two decades since she left her Yorkshire home and moved to London to pursue her hair stylist dreams, she has weaved a web of celeb friends, glam collaborators and now a footballer boyfriend.

The social media star, who boasts five million Instagram followers, has been flaunting her new romance with ex England player Andy Carroll, hot on the heels of his split from his TOWIE star wife Billi Mucklow.

And as she hits the limelight for the controversial romance, Lou has also come under fire in recent weeks for her friendship with tragic star Caroline Flack.

Last month MailOnline revealed how Caroline's mum Christine has been desperately seeking answers to why Lou, and fellow friend Mollie Grosberg, left Caroline alone in her flat on the day she took her own life.

Lou's web also has a threads to Caroline's former boyfriend Lewis Burton, who is now engaged to her best friend Lottie Tomlinson, after they were introduced by Lou.

One Direction 

Lou met Lottie thanks to her first taste of fame.

She began working on hit ITV show The X Factor back in 2010, as a stylist for the top eight acts. The job was also the start of her friendship with Caroline, who was the presenter of spin off show The Xtra Factor from 2011.

Despite working for all the rising stars on the show and the subsequent tour, the talented stylist was soon poached by One Direction, becoming their main hairstylist and makeup artist after the fivesome kept requesting to work with her.

At 25, Lou was close in age to the young band and her bubblegum pop aesthetic of colourfully dyed hair and bright makeup was a match made in heaven for the group's teen fanbase.

And so the boyband's stardust quickly rubbed off on her and Lou built up a massive social media following.

She joined the band on their back to back tours as 1D mania grew, later commenting: 'It was crazy! I had actually arranged to go away for a five week tour, but we didn't come home for four years.' 

On the band's ten year anniversary in 2020 Lou revealed just how much her time with the band had given her, gushing 'Happy 10 years to those boys who gave me the time of our lives, the ability to buy my own house, all of these lovely followers and so many life long friends.'

As well as Harry, Lou also grew close to his bandmate Louis Tomlinson and through him, his younger sister Lottie.

Lou hired Lottie as an assistant when she was just 15 and visiting her brother on tour. Whilst the teen started as her intern, Lou and Lottie soon formed a close bond, collaborating on social media content and building a close friendship.

They have since created tanning brand Tanologist together - a range of vegan and cruelty-free self-tanners, for which Lou acts as creative director. 

As well as her thriving career Lottie also has pal Lou to thank for her relationship.

The influencer and beauty brand owner is engaged to Lewis Burton, with the couple expecting their second child together after welcoming son Lucky two years ago. 

Lottie, 26, and Lewis, 32, began dating in August 2020 after meeting at a party hosted by Lou — six months after the death of Lewis' ex and Lou's close friend Caroline Flack.

It's understood Lottie became better acquainted with former tennis player and model Lewis at a house party in May 2020 hosted by Lou, which was held to mark three months since Caroline's tragic passing.

In late July that year, a source exclusively told MailOnline: 'They have been meeting up in secret for weeks but their newfound friendship hasn't gone unnoticed by mutual pals.

'Not all of Caroline's friends are happy with how the situation appears to be developing but can understand that both Lottie and Lewis have been there for each other as a shoulder to cry on.'

Friends say it's been 'incredibly difficult' in particular for Caroline's mother Christine to watch Lewis move on so publicly.

Caroline died by suicide in her London home, days before she was due to face trial for assaulting Lewis, who she had been in a relationship with for just over six months.

The TV presenter was arrested in December for assault and charged with attacking the model at her home in Islington.

Lewis dropped his assault complaint against Caroline but prosecutors pursued it and the couple was told not to have any contact.

It was confirmed following the inquest that Caroline took her own life after hearing she would definitely be prosecuted for assaulting her boyfriend, a coroner ruled.

Caroline's mother Christine reportedly has questions for Lou about her friendship with her late daughter.

Last month, the Mail revealed that Christine is central to the new documentary about the late star on Disney+, which will forensically detail her last 24 hours and try to give some answers as to why she died – and whether her life could have been saved. 

One of the questions that Christine has been desperately seeking answers to is why Lou, and fellow friend Mollie Grosberg, left Caroline alone in her flat on the day she took her own life - with the Love Island star having made a previous suicide attempt the day before.

Disney+ announced this week that were they are working on an Original feature length documentary film that will celebrate the life and career Caroline.

It will follow her mother Christine as she seeks to understand the events in the final months of her daughter's life.

The documentary will feature first hand testimony from Caroline's family and friends as Christine embarks on a journey to uncover the truth around the circumstances that led to Caroline tragically taking her own life in 2020.

The film will be produced by Curious Films, the production company behind the 2021 documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death and is coming to Disney+ in 2025.

Christine said: 'I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months, and it's something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging. I'm pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie's story – not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her.'

After setting up an Ask Me Anything on Instagram, Lou responded to a fan commenting: 'If someone is intent on suicide, nothing will stop them. You did your best, dont 4get that [sic]'. 

Reflecting on her experience, Lou responded: 'Suicide has affected my life a lot over the past 10 years. As it does for many many people. If it's not you suffering personally it's someone around you.'

She continued: 'I am currently working with an amazing charity Body and Soul. 

'Since experiencing and doing my best to care for 2 separate close friends around me attempting suicide numerous times without getting the professional help they need before inevitably seeing it through, I identified that between what our NHS and private health sectors offer and mental health 'helplines' that raise millions of ££ a month in fundraising, there is quite literally NOTHING that actually works with and helps people who are suicidal.

'Body and Soul offer a one-of-a-kind 6 month support programme for individuals who attempt suicide and boast a 100% success rate with 0 reattempts from those who have been on their You Are Not Alone course. 

'One suicide creates enough trauma around those involved there becomes a risk of further suicides without proper support.

The post comes after a close friend of Lou's told the Mail of the anguish over her fallout with Christine. 

'Why was it down to Caroline's friends to look after her?'they asked. 'Where was her family? Louise had to get back to her young daughter, she couldn't stay any longer. 

'They had been with Caroline for hours and hours and they tried to get her to go to hospital but she wouldn't. They remained at her flat to make sure she was OK but they couldn't stay there indefinitely, so they went.

'It is devastating that they now have Caroline's mother blaming them. Christine was once so close to Lou but not any more.

'Caroline's death has haunted her friends and changed their lives, and there is a view that she should be left to rest in peace. 

'But this documentary is going to drag everything up and, whether it intends to or not, runs the risk of laying blame in certain places.'

Andy Carroll 

Lou has been slowly rebuilding her life in the wake of her best friend's death in February 2020 and has recently started dating footballer Andy.

She shared a gallery of snaps of the couple spending time together over the Christmas period before Andy went Instagram official with the romance over New Year's.

The relationship comes just weeks after Andy and his ex wife Billi Mucklow confirmed their divorce in September 2024 after secretly separating earlier in the year.

Speaking to The Times Andy gushed: 'I've seen a different world since I've been with Lou, This Christmas, like she does every Christmas, she will go with her daughter to look after the isolated elderly.  

'She's a volunteer for Choose Love and a campaigner for LGBTQ+. She says to me, 'Why would you hate anyone?'' That's someone I need in my life.' 

Despite claims Billi was 'blindsided' by the relationship, friends of hers say that she 'knew Andy had someone' but she just wasn't sure who it was. She found out about Lou shortly before the romance was made public.
