The long-awaited Love Island talent show returned at last during Tuesday night's episode.
But fans were left cringing at many of the contestants performances - including a toe puppet show and sweet roast - and it was branded the 'painful to watch'.
In particular, viewers complained about Joey Essex's self produced 'awkward' rap, which was offbeat.
The TOWIE star, 33, came out wearing a gold chain, 90s sunglasses and a backward cap to perform the song he had written on his phone.
The rap included mentions of all his fellow Islanders and the klaxon to indicate his time on the stage was up went off twice, but he kept going.
As the klaxon sounded a third time, the islanders applauded, but Joey quipped: 'Wait, wait, wait. When I say secret - you say mission. Secret...'
This resulted in an awkward silence, with Joey asking: 'Anyone? Well that didn't go that well did it?'
Viewers thought Joey would have been better off performing his 2011 dance track Reem.
One person wrote on social media platform X: 'Joey are you not embarrassed';
'Joey was really struggling to catch the beat'; 'This talent show is painful to watch';
'Just when I thought Joey couldn't give me the ick more he raps';
'And the crowd went silent. Nah the second hand embarrassment. I'm dying'
Earlier in the day, Reuben received a text which read: 'Islanders, the spotlight awaits. Tonight, it's your turn to shine at The Love Talent Show! #ShowUpAndShowOff #GetPractising'
As the Islanders practiced for the evening, Joey exclaimed: 'This is our time to shine!'
Nicole was up first up to the stage, as she treated her fellow Islanders to a sexy dance.
After her energetic performance, she said: 'Ciaran's jaw was on the floor and that's all I wanted tonight was to see Ciaran's face like that, so mission complete!'
Reuben was up next and he decided to showcases his whistling and singing talents as he performed his rendition of 'Singing in the rain'.
Explaining the performance needed its own lamppost, he called Grace to the stage as his 'lovely lamppost of a lady'.
One by one, the Islanders took to the stage, with Matilda performing a puppet show with her feet of her and Sean's Love Island love story.
Grace led a yoga class with the triangle as percussion as she encourages all of the Islanders to downwards dog with her.
Josh put his culinary skills to the test, leading a 'pancake and waffle masterclass' as he invited Mimii to do the taste test.
Ciaran showed off his rugby skills, while Jess provided a colourful performance with an artist masterclass.
Sean then came out dressed as the candyman, giving the Islanders a pick n mix sweet roast.
Jessy left the islanders speechless as she appeared on stilts, which resulted in her later winning the talent show.
Ayo performed the flute with his rendition of Mary Had A Little Lamb, while Mimii closed the show by belting out A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton.
It comes after Love Island viewers were left fuming by Joey Essex and Sean Stone 'pot stirring' behaviour during Monday's episode.
As the duo did the rounds in the villa and poked their nose in their rivals relationships following the drama filled awards show.
Unimpressed by their actions they claimed sweet salesman Sean, 24, was acting out of character in a bid to secure the 33-year-old TOWIE star's friendship.
Taking to X they wrote: 'Sean and Joey may as well couple up': 'Sean is begging for that Joey Essex friendship': 'Not Sean turning Joey Essex into his idol': 'Is Sean not embarrassed? Everyone in the villa has clicked that he's begging for Joey's approval'.
'Sean is really trying to stir the pot like his big brother Joey'; 'Joey and Sean are genuinely baffling': 'Joey and Sean are desperate to stir the pot to make their couples look stronger and because they think the public love it since they keep being voted in the the top. Get them out';
'Teacher and student. Joey and Sean talking about the assignment on how to stir the pot.'
