This is the moment a music fan was dragged out of Wembley Stadium at Thursday night's Bruce Springsteen concert 'for simply standing up'.

Evan Tate was one of tens of thousands in attendance to see a 74-year-old Springsteen roll back the years in a set lasting over three hours.

However, Mr Tate, a budding guitarist himself in his band called 'Bandit', was unable to stay the course as security at the venue dragged him out from the stands.

Footage taken by a nearby spectator halfway through the show appears to show Mr Tate asking for a reason for his removal before panning to a selection of seated attendees being berated by fellow concert-goers.

Springsteen (seen) was, as ever, joined on the night by 'the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, hard-rocking, booty-shaking, love-making, earth-quaking, Viagra-taking, death-defying, legendary E Street Band' in what has been reviewed as a top-notch performance

Mr Tate posted the clip to X, saying: 'I’m at a loss for words for what exactly to say. I was brutally dragged out of Bruce Springsteen @wembleystadium tour [sic] for simply standing up, when the footage here shows many people doing the same.'

Alongside the clip, he shared the video's data showing it was taken at 8.43pm - roughly an hour and a half into the concert - meaning the musician likely missed classic hits like Thunder Road, Born To Run and Dancing In The Dark.

He can be heard asking security 'what is this for?' as they grapple with him and pull him away

And Mr Tate also shared a picture of one of his arms which appeared bruised, seemingly getting at the 'brutal' nature of his eviction.

Other attendees could then be heard tearing into the seated Springsteen fans who were sat behind the area which people had been removed from.

They were surrounded by countless more standing viewers.

Someone can be heard calling one of the spectators a w*****, adding, 'there was no need for that'.

Both Mr Tate and Wembley Stadium have been contacted for comment.
