The Montreal Alouettes traded S.J. Green to the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick this season and a conditional draft pick in 2018, the team announced Thursday.
Green, a receiver for the Alouettes for 10 seasons including their 2009 and 2010 Grey Cup wins, caught 444 passes for 6,626 yards and 42 touchdowns in 116 games played.
“We would like to thank S.J. for all of his contributions and devotion to our team and organization,” said Alouettes General Manager Kavis Reed in a statement.
“Our fans were privileged to see one of the most spectacular players in the CFL during the last 10 years,” said Reed, also noting Green’s contributions to the Montreal community.
