Sevilla have completed a deal to sign former Manchester City star Jesus Navas and chose to announce it in a bizarre kidnapping video on their official social media accounts.

The video shows Navas being followed by two masked men as he walks down the street before they jump out of their car and cover his head with a bag. He is then transported to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium before #NavasAnnounced appears on the screen.

It was the latest effort from a professional football club to create some social media buzz by getting creative with their transfer dealings, but the theme of kidnapping Navas does not appear to tally up with reality.
