Despite being stars, the Hemsworth brothers are still proud to call Australia home.

And on Sunday, Chris, Liam and Luke took advantage of the warm weather in northern NSW by heading to the beach in Lennox Head, near Byron Bay.

The siblings played a game of beach cricket and kicked a football around a secluded stretch of shoreline along Seven Mile Beach.

Chris, 37, Liam, 30, and Luke, 39, looked relaxed as they enjoyed the Labour Day long weekend, and brought along a cooler box filled with drinks.

The Hemsworths were joined by a host of friends and family members, including Liam's girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks.

Liam was seen getting into the zone during a beach cricket match, licking his upper lip as he concentrated.

Chris bowled towards his brother, as Liam swung and sent the ball flying.

The Thor star used his muscular biceps to deliver fastballs in the family-friendly game, but appeared cautious on his feet.

Chris' right ankle appeared to be bandaged up in a black compression sleeve.

A nearby station of camping chairs saw family members watching the game from afar, but it's unclear if Chris' wife Elsa Pataky or Luke's wife Samantha were present.

Liam later traded his cricket bat in for an AFL football, which he practiced kicking from the shallows.

He appeared to boot the ball high in the air towards one of his brothers as the sun was setting. There was also a soccer ball spotted among the crowd.

Taking it easy: A nearby set of camping chairs saw family members watching the game from the sidelines, however it's unclear if Chris' wife Elsa Pataky or Luke's wife Samantha were there
