This legendary '70s TV star is putting to rest online speculation that her recent fall happened while having sex.
Suzanne Somers – who turned 74 on Friday – said that she and husband Alan Hamel were simply 'holding hands' at the time of the mishap, in an interview with Page Six.
'What a way to celebrate my 74th birthday — sometimes life gives you the middle finger!' the Three's Company star said.

Then, she went on to describe the circumstances of her nasty spill with Hamel, 84, at their Palm Springs, California, compound earlier this month.
'I was waiting at the top of the stairs — that’s what happens when you are so in love with each other — I was waiting at the top of the stairs for Alan, the love of my life, and I’ve got a crutch [from a prior hip injury],' Suzanne explained.
'And he grabs my hand and missteps and he goes down. Because we’re holding hands, that’s the problem with being in love with each other, I go on top of him!' she continued.
Then, winking to their famous sex life, Somers quipped, 'I’ve had more fun being on top of him.'

Now post-surgery, 'I have a whole lot of hardware in me … it’s going to be a whole lot of fun going through airports,' the septuagenarian television veteran continued to joke.
'I have a dog collar … my new theme song is, "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window."'
As for Alan, to whom Suzanne has been wed since 1977, he managed to emerge from the accident unscathed, he's been doting on his wife left and right since.

'I must thank him 50 times a day. When someone is this selfless and this tender … If he wants sex two, three, ten times-a-day,' Suzanne mentioned coyly.
Also on the bright side: 'Every day it gets a little better … because Friday is my birthday, we’re going to celebrate with a big party Friday night.'
'I am getting better, and I will recover,' she later added. 'Life can change in a day [so] enjoy each day, because you never know what tomorrow might bring.'

Suzanne posted about the celebration earlier on Friday to her Instagram.
In the alarming photo, the blonde Beauty was seen in a medical neck brace that went from her chest to her chin. It was only 10 days ago that she had first revealed she had fallen down a flight of stairs forcing her to have surgery on her neck.
But as Friday marked the actress' birthday, she announced she was celebrating at a bar despite her brace.
