David Jason sports beard for Still Open All Hours filming

With his bushy grey beard, David Jason looks more like Del Boy's Uncle Albert than shopkeeper Granville.

David Jason, who stars in the BBC series Still Open all Hours, was seen sporting the bedgraggled whiskers while filming in Doncaster for the latest series.

Britain's most loved convenience store, Arkwright's, will once again open its doors later this year for a fourth series of the revived comedy – which originally ran from 1973 to 1985 as Open All Hours.

Still Open All Hours – which also stars Tim Healy, Maggie Ollerenshaw and Brigit Forsyth – has proven a huge hit with audiences since its relaunch in 2014.

Last year's episodes drew the highest viewing figures of any comedy in the past 12 months.

Ronnie Barker, who played the main character of Arkwright in the original, died in 2005.
