Great Britain pair Tom Daley and Daniel Goodfellow had to settle for fourth place in the men's 10 metres synchronised platform final at the World Championships in Budapest.

The duo were looking to add to the Olympic bronze won in Rio last summer, and had qualified for Monday night's final in second place behind China.

They were lying fourth after four dives but a poor entry from Goodfellow in the penultimate round resulted in a score of 63.72, which left the Britons out of contention for a podium place.

Gold went to Chinese pair Chen Aisen and Yang Hao with a 498.48, while Aleksandr Bondar and Viktor Minibaev secured silver for Russia with 458.85.
