A social media user has posted a photo of an outdated motel room complete with a sign for instructions on how to use a dial-up modem connection.

'Modem Plug. Access to an outside line for your Computer is as follows,' the sign reads.

'In your 'dial up connection' Insert 0 and then your phone numbers. This allows the PABX time to give your modem a line.'

Commenters thought the sign was hilarious with some saying the room reminded them of a simpler time.

Others joked it may still be faster than the nation's troubled National Broadband Network.
