A man who broke into a 76-year-old woman's home and raped her missed his son's cancer operation so he could carry out the attack.

Mugahed Adam Eldouma, 39, got into the victim's house in Armadale, Perth in June last year through a window and snatched her mobile phone before punching and sexually assaulting her.

He was convicted of four offences by a West Australian District Court jury on Friday as the court heard the victim's harrowing triple-zero call on the day of the attack.
