Cancer-stricken girl, 4, breaks down in tears as she is finally reunited with ...

A cancer-stricken four-year-old has finally had a cuddle with her father after seven long weeks apart due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mila Sneddon, from Falkirk, Scotland, stole the hearts of the nation when she was seen kissing her father Scott, 50, through a glass window at the start of the UK's lockdown.

The little girl, whose immune system is already compromised, was staying at home with her mother, Lynda, 36, while her father stayed elsewhere to reduce the risk of Mila contacting the deadly coronavirus.

But now the pair have been reunited as Scott, who is a service engineer, has been furloughed meaning he was able to return home to be with his family yesterday - after two weeks of self-isolating to ensure he had no symptoms of the illness.

Mila, who was diagnosed with leukaemia in November last year, can be seen bounding towards her father before the duo share a tearful hug in an emotional video capturing their reunion.

But Mila wasn't the only one who was ecstatic to see Scott as his wife Lynda admitted to needing her husband around since their little girl is due to start a new regime of steroids in two weeks.

Lynda said: 'We didn't tell Mila her daddy was coming back to stay, she thought he was just coming to visit through the window as normal but he surprised her and said I can come in.

'She was a bit reserved to start with and cautious to go close but Scott said "you can give me a real hug".
