A cafe worker has been stabbed inside his own house before collapsing in a pool of blood in an alleyway along a busy Sydney road.
Police were called to a unit on Bondi Road, in the city's eastern suburbs at about 10.20am on Tuesday after reports a man had been attacked.
The 52-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his torso and was rushed to hospital with a punctured lung in a serious but stable condition.
NSW Police say the man had been involved in an altercation with another person before he was attacked.
