A holidaymaker says he feared for his life after 'fly-ridden' food and raw chicken at a five-star Cuban hotel left him on a drip and passing blood in his stool.
Delivery driver Scott Edwards, from Ayrshire, Scotland, says he fell ill while staying at the Iberostar Playa Pilar hotel in Cuba with fiancée Bracken Millar.
The 31-year-old, who has lost a stone since falling ill, was so sick he was put on a drip on the third day of his £2,800 holiday, while feeling delirious, suffering from diarrhoea and passing blood.

When Scott's temperature soared to a dangerous 41 degrees, he claims he was left fearing for his life when doctors said they would rush him to hospital by helicopter if it didn't come down in 20 minutes.
However, despite capturing footage of food crawling with flies and pictures showing 'faeces smeared on the walls', upon complaining about his ordeal Mr Edwards claims Thomas Cook would only refund him £500.
And despite having photos of doctors putting him on a drip in his hotel room, Mr Edwards says Thomas Cook informed him there was no evidence he required medical treatment.
Thomas Cook have apologised to the couple over their June holiday but explained that they did not receive the 'requested medical records in order to carry out a full investigation'.

Mr Edwards said: 'On the third day I found that I was constantly on the toilet, going back and forth.
'It's the last thing you want on your holiday that you have saved so hard for. You want to be out in the sun enjoying yourself not stuck in a toilet cubicle.
'I couldn't eat at all, I lost my appetite completely. I ended up on a drip as I was really dehydrated. When I fell ill my temperature soared to 41 degrees, I was severely ill.'
He added: 'I was really worried, I tried my best to fight whatever it was that was making me so ill. Thankfully I didn't need to go to the hospital but it was scary when they were mentioning helicopters.'
Mr Edwards said he has been saving for a year to afford the holiday.
He said: 'We were really looking forward to it, we thought we had booked a five-star signature hotel but when we arrived it was clear it wasn't a five star.

Mr Edwards claims there were flies everywhere at the hotel. He said: 'Not just flying around us but they were crawling on the plates and food'
'After looking online, I discovered it had lost its signature rating and the cost had
