Firefighters were unable to resuscitate a young woman who was found unconscious after a blaze swept through a bar in the Lanaudière region.

A woman in her twenties died in a fire that swept through a bar in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon in the Lanaudière region on Saturday night.

The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at the Resto-bar 239.

Firefighters discovered the unconscious woman in the building and were unable to resuscitate her.

The cause and the circumstances of the tragedy were not known.
