Passengers on board a United Airlines jet were forced to get off the plane through emergency slides while on the tarmac after smoke was reported in the cabin.

The incident took place at Reagan National Airport just outside of Washington, DC on Sunday at around 1pm.

United Airlines flight 6122 was taxiing and getting set for takeoff to Houston when emergency crews responded to a report of smoke in the cabin.

As a result of the airport, the airline’s passenger and crew exited the plane without incident, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority
