John Bercow, 56, was rumoured to be taking part in the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after he announced his retirement as Speaker of The House Of Commons earlier this year. However, reports have surfaced their had been a dispute over fees for securing the MP as one member of this year’s line-up for the hit ITV show.
With a General Election on the horizon, Bercow will be standing down from his current role as campaigns get underway.
As the MP will have time on his hands, it was suggested he could be joining the all-star cast as the political parties battle for a majority in the lead up to Christmas.
It was confirmed the hit reality show would be returning next month, adding more indication the retiring Speaker could make an appearance.
Reports from The Mirror have alleged the politician was in talks to be taking part for a fee of £1million, but ITV could not meet the alleged demands.

A source told the publication: “John has priced himself out of the market by asking for £1million, far more than anyone’s ever been paid on the show.
“It’s a shame, he would have been an interesting addition to the jungle gathering, not least because of his extremely extensive vocabulary.
“He is a proper character with a long career in politics,” the insider added.
However, a spokesperson for the MP told Express.co.uk there was never any chance the retiring Speaker would appear on the show.
