London stabbing: Teenager rushed to hospital following brutal Dagenham attack

Officers rushed to Wood Lane at around 6:20pm following reports of a male suffering from a stab wound. The boy was taken to hospital via paramedics from London Ambulance service. After the stabbing, the Metropolitan Police issued a section 60 order for the Borough of Barking and Dagenham, north of the A13 and south of the A12.

This encompasses both the towns of Barking and Dagenham.

No arrests have been made as officers are continuing with their enquiries.

The Section 60 remained in place until this morning.

It provides police with the additional power for officers in uniform to stop and search a member of the public or vehicle for an offensive weapons.
