Kate, Duchess of Cambridge turns 38 tomorrow, and the Duchess has already been spotted ahead of her special day with close friends at Sandringham last weekend. Although Kate has chosen low-key family gatherings for her birthday over the last few years, royal watchers are speculating that, this year, Prince William may whisk his wife off for a more exotic celebration. A royal insider told Life & Style magazine last month: “William wants to whisks their family away from it all on a no-expenses-spared trip to Mustique as a surprise for Kate. A big surprise!”
The source added: “William wants to ensure they get quality alone time as a couple, so he’s organising spa treatments, a diving trip and surfing lessons for two.”
The Cambridges chose Mustique for their family summer holiday last year, and had their pick of the stunning villas that dot the private island.
They opted for the luxurious Antilles villa for their getaway.
Situated in the central region of the island, in the Endeavour Hills, the newly-built Antilles villa grounds look out towards St Vincent.

During high season, over Christmas, guests will be set back $46,500 (£35,457) per week, or $6,643 (£5,065) per day.
Over Kate’s birthday week in January, however, prices are slightly less eyewatering, at $31,000 (£23,638) per week or $4,429 (£3,377) per day.
Indoors, the property has four bedrooms and a study that can be converted to a fifth.
Three of the bedrooms have private gardens and “indoor-outdoor” shower rooms.
