KATE GARRAWAY - who hosts Good Morning Britain - has opened up and said how she wishes for more "hope" in her family's lives while her husband Derek Draper remains in hospital in a coma.

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, 53, has spoken out ahead of sharing her family's devastating story after her husband Derek was admitted into intensive care in March after contracting coronavirus. The ITV presenter took to Instagram to say how she hopes everyone gets a "lot more hope" during this dreadful time.

Earlier this month, Kate and her children were able to visit former lobbyist Derek, 53, for the first time since he went into hospital.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star and Derek have two children, Darcey, 14, and son Billy, 11, together.

Kate decided to update her 938,000 Instagram followers today throughout her heartbreaking ordeal.

She wrote: "'Love Fear Hope'. Thank you so much to @youmagazine & the wonderful @joelvin for allowing me to share my family’s story over the last few weeks - I hope we can ALL get a lot more hope in our lives
